When you realize that Satan controls the world in every way (but the most important), it tends to do a number on you, especially if you don't have solid Christian theology. Christian theology already teaches that Satan's the Prince of the Power of the Air, and that this is his world to control at the moment. He even had his throne in Pergamum. I imagine now his throne is in Hollywood or D.C. Either way, a well-learned Christian is the most ready to apprehend the evil we face and the least likely to lose their minds over it.
