Nikkei to pull Pioneer from Nikkei average constituents

TOKYO – Nikkei Inc. announced on Friday that it will remove Pioneer as a component of the Nikkei Stock Average, following the designation of the electrical goods manufacturer's stock as "Securities to be delisted" by the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Pioneer will be replaced by electronics maker Omron on March 18. Omron's presumed par value is 50 yen.
Likewise, the Nikkei 500 Stock Average will remove Pioneer and add electronics maker Horiba on the same day.
