Those people have no leadership, guidance, structure, nor do they have any knowledge of physical health. They're not challenged.
I'd go so far as to suggest that self-mutilation is the body/mind attempting to alert the individual to pay attention to one's self. They're so far gone that they can pay attention to the act of self-mutilating and still not see themselves.
This was achieved at an early stage in the 20th century I'm guessing.
All the solutions have been present but difficult.
Easy solutions have been injected into daily lives as a means of a low-effort, short cut solution.
People are only cheating themselves.
I think people will heal just like land can heal from a disturbance.
We already have the technology to connect and find each other beyond our communities, but those systems are also perverted.
Switching to an organic food production system for America would be a massive change for the better. No diabetes, no obesity except in rare cases of neglect and genes I guess.
Schools won't be traps or indoctrination tanks.
People will be challenged appropriately.
