Those people have no leadership, guidance, structure, nor do they have any knowledge of physical health. They're not challenged.

I'd go so far as to suggest that self-mutilation is the body/mind attempting to alert the individual to pay attention to one's self. They're so far gone that they can pay attention to the act of self-mutilating and still not see themselves.

They’re warning that pardons could ignite a political firestorm that overshadows what Trump sees as a moment of triumph.

 

Trump mused about granting pardons at times during special counsel Robert Mueller’s nearly two-year investigation. But according to his lawyers, the president has not been in active talks about using his pardon powers to help advisers who have pleaded guilty or been convicted, including former national security adviser Michael Flynn and ex-campaign chairman Paul Manafort.

 

“The president is not going to consider pardons. He’s not gonna give any pardons,” said Rudy Giuliani, the president’s outside attorney. “If it ever happens, it has to happen in the future, but nobody has any promise of it, nobody should assume it. Of course, he has the power to do it, but I have no reason to believe he’s going to use it.”

In connection with the case, the police have confiscated 138 electronic devices with 96 terabytes of material containing hundreds of hours of illegal content featuring various forms of child abuse, devil worship, Nazism, and various fetishes.

 

Finland's National Bureau of Investigation is currently probing five Finnish citizens suspected of being part of an extensive international child abuse network, national broadcaster Yle reported.

 

Police believe the suspects produced material depicting graphic child sex abuse that was streamed online to a total of 17 countries, mostly European and other Western states. Some of the material streamed to Finland was extremely violent in nature and involved so-called snuff films that feature a staged killing. Police suspect that the case involves six victims, all of them boys aged between six and 15 years old at the time the suspected offences occurred. The suspected crimes were believed to have been committed between 2004 and 2018, and police believe that some of the victims knew each other.

Border hits ‘breaking point’ in El Paso, CBP commissioner says

The nation’s top border security official said Wednesday that the border is at its "breaking point" during a visit to Texas, where as many as 1,000 migrants crossed into the U.S. and there are not enough agents to respond.

 

"That breaking point has arrived this week at our border," U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Kevin K. McAleenan said along the border. "CBP is facing an unprecedented humanitarian and border security crisis all along our Southwest border, and nowhere has that crisis manifested more acutely than here in El Paso."

 

McAleenan said the Border Patrol is on pace for over 100,000 apprehensions and encounters with migrants – mostly from Central America seeking asylum in the U.S. On Monday, agents encountered an estimated 4,000 migrants border-wide, he said.

 

BORDER AGENTS OVERWHELMED AS TEXAS BEGINS PROCESSING MIGRANT CARAVAN

 

In February, more than 76,000 migrants were detained, the highest number in 12 years. That figure includes more than 7,000 unaccompanied children. More than 36,000 migrant families have arrived in the El Paso region in fiscal year 2019 compared with about 2,000 at the same time last year, according to CBP data, the El Paso Times reported. The influx is posing new challenges for border agents.

About 750 border agents have been reassigned from other ports to El Paso and highway security checkpoints in West Texas and New Mexico will temporarily shut down. The reassignments could mean longer wait times at border crossings and may affect trade between the U.S. and Mexico as fewer agents will be available to inspect cargo and normal border traffic.

 

Immigration-rights advocates have called the situation along the border a humanitarian crisis. They push back at President Trump's national emergency declaration to fund his long-promised border wall. The Pentagon on Monday, authorized the transfer of $1 billion to erect 57 miles of "pedestrian fencing" along the border.

 

"There is no need for a national emergency, no need for costly and ineffective walls, or programs that criminalize and dehumanize asylum seekers," Fernando Garcia, executive director of the Border Network for Human Rights, said in a statement to the Dallas Morning News.

 

McAleenan said the only solution is for Congress to act.

 

"Legislative relief, changes in the law and closing the vulnerabilities in our legal framework is the only way this flow is going to be reduced and we're going to be able to restore integrity to our immigration system," he said.

Report: Nearly half of combat veterans complain of chronic pain

 

Nearly half of a group of infantry soldiers who had seen combat in Afghanistan have reported experiencing chronic pain and 15 percent said they recently used opioid pain relievers, according to a study released Monday.

 

Of 2,597 active-duty Army troops surveyed three months after their redeployment, 44 percent said they experienced recurring or unceasing pain after returning from Afghanistan, according to the study, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association Internal Medicine.

 

The number of soldiers affected by chronic pain was a surprise to researchers, said Robin L. Toblin, the lead author of the study, one of the first to quantify the impact of recent wars on the prevalence of pain and narcotic use among soldiers.

 

”War is really hard on the body,” said, Toblin, who is affiliated with the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research.

 

But she said that researchers didn’t expect that nearly half of young, otherwise healthy men who were not seeking medical treatment would suffer from chronic pain.

 

The percentage was far higher than an estimated 26 percent of chronic pain sufferers in a Kansas study of civilians ages 18 to 65. In that study, which looked at a group comparable to the soldiers — men aged 18 to 34 — only 15 percent reported chronic pain, Tobin said.

 

Chronic pain is defined as pain that continues beyond the normal time expected for healing or that accompanying chronic conditions like arthritis. It is associated with the onset of changes in the central nervous system that may adversely affect well-being, cognition, level of function and quality of life, according to the Defense Department’s Pain Management Task Force.

 

Opioids, whose pharmacological effects resemble morphine or other opiates, are strong medicines that can relieve pain caused by serious injuries.

 

Of the chronic pain sufferers, 48.3 percent reported pain duration of a year or longer. More than half — 55.6 percent reported nearly daily or a constant frequency of pain. About half — 51.2 percent — reported moderate to severe pain.

 

The survey did not ask for the location of the pain, Tolbin said.

 

The troops’ reported use of opioid pain relievers — 15.1 percent of all surveyed troops and 23 percent of those with chronic pain — was also far higher than the estimated civilian use of 4 percent. But that finding was less of a surprise, she Toblin said.

 

“ It’s consistent Army-wide,” she said. About a quarter of soldiers use opioids within a given year, she said.

 

The findings “suggest a large unmet need for assessment, management and treatment of chronic pain and related opioid use and misuse in military personnel after combat deployments,” the study authors note.

 

In commentary accompanying the study, Lt. Col. Dr. Wayne B. Jonas, and Lt. Gen. Eric B. Schoomaker, both retired, said that the study raised concerns.

 

“The nation’s defense rests on the comprehensive fitness of its service members — mind, body and spirit. Chronic pain and use of opioids carry the risk of functional impairment of America’s fighting force,” they wrote.

 

According to a 2010 report by DOD’s Pain Management Task Force, “Pain is a disease state of the nervous system and deserves the same management attention given to any other disease states,” according to a 2010 task force report.

 

But pain management is a special challenge in military settings, the report said.”

 

“The transient nature of the military population, including both patients and providers, creates extraordinary challenges to providing continuity of care, something very important to pain management.”

 

Data for the JAMA study were collected in 2011 from an infantry brigade redeployed from Afghanistan, and most of the 2,597 survey participants were men, 18 to 24 years old, high school-educated, married and of junior enlisted rank. Nearly half - 45.4 percent - reported combat injuries.

BREAKING: Illinois State Attorney Kim Foxx Now Says Smollett Case was ‘Inadvertently’ Sealed, may be Reversed

 

The case of the apparently fraudulent hate-crime involving actor-singer Jussie Smollett may not be over after all. It has just been reported that Kim Foxx – the controversial State Attorney who has become a lightning rod in the case – has declared that she never intended for the case investigating the Smollett incident to be sealed.

 

Local ABC-7 News, in Chicago, has reported that Foxx is saying that she did not call for the case to be sealed, and that it may in fact become unsealed.

 

Jesse Kirsch, also from ABC 7 NEws added:

 

Foxx has become a most vexing figure in this case. In February she had abruptly entered the investigation at the behest of Michelle Obama’s former Chief of Staff. Once placed in contact with Smollett’s family she attempted to have the investigation moved from the Chicago Police Department and over to federal authorities. Soon after she recused herself from the case, just one week prior to Smollett being charged with 16 crimes.

 

Then suddenly this week she reinserted herself and declared the charges would all be dropped. Making things even more suspicious, the case was declared sealed, and no further information could be released, even precluding any Freedom Of Information Act requests.

 

In an interview provided Wednesday Foxx, who has since claimed she never officially recused herself, continued to offer up contradictions. After stating that “I believe this was a just outcome based on the circumstances,” regarding her office deciding to waive all of the charges, she provided more conflicting testimony.

 

Referring to the details of the investigation Foxx said, “We believe that the facts were sufficient to charge and try Mr. Smollett for the crimes.” So we need to ask then, which condition is correct? Does she feel that there was sufficient reason to drop the charges, or does she believe there was enough evidence to be worthy of charging Smollett and trying him in court?

 

It appears she would like to have it both ways, or she is looking to provide soundbites that will satisfy either side of this story.

 

This morning Chicago police released some of the investigative case files regarding the Smollett investigation. These were made public just ahead of the department receiving an order to suspend releasing any further documents related to the Smollett case. As has been the norm for this story from January, it promises to be constantly evolving.

Masood Azhar to be Blacklisted? US Moves Resolution in UN Security Council to Designate JeM Chief as Global Terrorist

 

United Nations, March 28: Weeks after China blocked another request to put Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Masood Azhar on the UN sanctions list, the United States, Britain and France made a fresh attempt on Wednesday to designate him as a global terrorist. The US circulated a resolution- drafted with British and French support – to the 15-member Security Council that would designate Masood Azhar, subjecting him to an arms embargo, travel ban and asset freeze, diplomats said as reported by Reuters.

 

After the Pulwama terror attack, the US, France and Britain moved a resolution in the UN Sanctions Committee of the Security Council to designate Masood Azhar as a global terrorist. The move suffered a setback as China put a “technical hold” on the proposal for the fourth time. Now, the US has moved directly approached the Security Council with the proposed resolution blacklisting Azhar. The draft resolution says Azhar will be added to the UN Al-Qaida and Islamic State sanctions blacklist. Here’s How China Blocked the Listing of Masood Azhar at the UNSC.

 

It is not clear when a vote would be held on the draft resolution. 40 CRPF personnel were killed when a suicide bomber rammed into a convoy while moving from Jammu to Srinagar in Lethpora area of South Kashmir Pulwama district on February 14. Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed claimed the responsibility of the attack. According to an annexe to the draft, Azhar is linked to terrorism for “participating in the financing, planning, facilitating, preparing, or perpetrating of acts or activities” carried out by JeM. Earlier, a senior Trump administration official said China has a responsibility to not shield Pakistan, expressing deep disappointment over Beijing’s decision to block a bid in the UN to designate Azhar as a global terrorist. “We think China has a responsibility to also not shield Pakistan, and join the international community in calling on Pakistan to take action against terrorists operating on its soil,” the senior Trump administration said.

 

India also said it was disappointed at China’s stand on Azhar. “We are disappointed by this outcome. This has prevented action by the international community to designate the leader of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), a proscribed and active terrorist organisation which has claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir on February 14,” the Ministry of External Affairs said.

In one text exchange with a Smollett relative (name is redacted), Kim Foxx is reassuring the individual that she spoke to the superintendent and asked for a favor.

 

The individual reached out to Foxx on February 1st and said, “Hi Kim, this is [redacted] Are you available to chat? Tina Tchen gave me your number.” Kim Foxx engaged in a back and forth text exchange with the individual about Smollett’s case. “I’ll keep you posted, “Foxx said in a text. “Omg this would be a huge victory,” the Smollett relative said in response. “I make no guarantees, but I’m trying.” Foxx replied.

 

Kim Foxx later recused herself from the case.

 

The Police Union also wants federal investigators to determine whether Kim Foxx broke the law.

"Two years wasted" depends on your point of view. This has been a two or three year assault AGAINST THE PUBLIC by agents and institutions of the US government, and some foreign governments.

 

It was a two year offensive by Mueller, Comey, et al. From their point of view, maybe "wasted time" because Trump has not been mortally wounded or impeached.

 

The offensive is not over yet. The DEMs are carrying it on with the help of the press.

 

IMO, even though Trump and the US have been on the receiving side for the past few years, the time has not been wasted. Politicians are known to be frequent targets for conspiracy rumors and scandals.

 

Lately, conspiracy theory peddlers have set their sights on U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff, a Democrat who represents California’s 28th Congressional District and recently took over as chair of the House Intelligence Committee.

 

A March 21 Facebook post displays a picture of Schiff with wide eyes and says: "Adam Schiff used taxpayer money to reach sexual harassment settlement with a 19 year old male. Retweet if you are sick of this disgraceful hypocrite trashing our president."

 

The post was flagged as part of Facebook’s efforts to combat false news and misinformation on its News Feed. (Read more about our partnership with Facebook.)

 

There is no evidence that Schiff paid off anyone over sexual harassment allegations, let alone used taxpayer funds to do it.

 

We found the rumor posted all over Twitter, and one December 9, 2018 tweet in particular from a QAnon conspiracy theory account, which simply claimed the information came from "congressional sources," was picked up and retweeted tens of thousands of times. The rumor seems have emerged as Congress worked toward the bipartisan passage of a bill that requires members to pay their own sex misconduct settlements.

 

The rumor stretched so far that it was found in a Letter to the Editor in the Washington Times on Dec. 13, 2018. That account also failed to list any sources to back up the allegation.

 

A spokesperson for Schiff told PolitiFact the conspiracy theory is completely false: "This false smear originated four months ago on a QAnon conspiracy account. It is obviously and categorically untrue."

 

Dossier Not What ‘Started All of This’

A few points, since you don't seem to apply what you can read.

The privilege is against ARREST, not against being charged.

That privilege does not apply when the charge is a felony, etc.

The privilege attaches to the ATTENDANCE, and in coming and going to ATTENDANCE. Technically has nothing to do with whether the body is in session, although the rules dictate that members are supposed to be in attendance while the body is in session, so the two (attendance and in session) look near identical.
