Why is this notable? All WIC grads get a callsign and it usually has something to do with a play on words or a quality about the person.

I'm not surprised that a WIC grad that was a Major during 9/11 is now in a leadership position 18 years later…probably a Full Bird (O6 - Colonel).

 

WIC grads are usually the sharpest in their squadron, so they go to teach the rest of the squadron & instructors. In the AF & ANG, while it shouldn't be, the WIC patch often is a stepping stone to leadership.
