Abraham had so much faith, that it even says how he had worked it out in his mind. He knew the promises of God were through Isaac and so If simply knew God would bring him back to life. Nothing ever happened but the walk to the mountain and God provided a Ram for the sacrifice. Abraham was a father just as you are. The point was he was obedient to God and went on the journey. God knew his faith was words only he followed through with Actions. You will judge a Tree by it's fruit like here good. Others talk a good story but you look at their life and it is easy to see there is no fruit. True Believers live differently it is not a fake relationship.
You can fight this friend but the Bible defends it's self. Would your time be better used simply sharing the gospel and talking about Jesus.
