Another boondoggle from

the Democrats

Pete Buttigieg and Joe Kernan

The liberals are great at losing other people’s (tax payer’s) money…

In this debacle it was 17.5 MILLION

“I think we need to learn from our mistakes," he said. "We have to have the political will to change the direction we're going."

The National Football Foundation announced in 1992 that it would move the Hall of Fame from the Cincinnati area to South Bend.

Then-Mayor Joe Kernan promised early on to secure corporate donations to fund the hall in South Bend, but he was able to raise less than $2 million.

The city government ended up issuing bonds to pay for the $18 million building, which opened in August 1995, and the city will continue paying off the $6.4 million worth of remaining debt until January 2018.“

“The city owed about $3 million on the vacant, 52,000-square-foot building at the time, and it had been paying about $100,000 per year to maintain the structure since the hall left for Atlanta in 2012…”

“…In the meantime, the fate of the building, which sits in a prime location in the heart of downtown, remains up in the air, with taxpayers continuing to pay for it.”

“The South Bend Redevelopment Commission finalized a deal Thursday to sell the long-vacant property for $525,000 to JSK Development’s Southhold company…

“…The South Bend Tribune reports the company agreed to buy the building after the city lowered the price from the original $1.2 million it was asking and absolves the city of South Bend of any responsibility for the building completely.”

“We’ve had our patience tested,”

Mayor Pete Buttigieg said at the time.

So have we Mayor Pete

Fool me once, eh?

Pete Buttigieg

Will he be the next democratic candidate for president?

He’s a Socialist and his policies have had a clear impact on South Bend, IN

“When Pete Buttigieg joined the presidential race, he was the relatively obscure young mayor of South Bend, Indiana. But a few savvy observers noticed that his father, a retired literary critic, was quite well-known. In fact, Joseph A. Buttigieg was internationally renowned for his authoritative translations of Antonio Gramsci, Italy’s most enduring Marxist intellectual.”

“24/7 Wall St. created an index with measures in nine categories - crime, demography, economy, education, environment, health, housing, infrastructure, and leisure - to identify and share the country's worst cities to live in, which includes South Bend, Indiana.

Coming in at number 40, 24/7 Wall St. found that

South Bend is one of the

most dangerous cities in

the U.S.,

with 1,012 violent crimes in the city for every 100,000 residents in 2016, which is more than double both the state and national crimes rates of 405 incidents and 386 incidents per 100,000.”

More findings:

• Population: 102,442

• Median home value: $77,400 - less than half the national median home value of $205,000

• Poverty rate: 24.7%
