Senator Proposes Immunity for Julian Assange for Testimony on Hillary's Emails
Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) has proposed that the US Government offers Julian Assange immunity from prosecution in return
for the WikiLeaks founder's testimony on Hillary Clinton's and the Democratic Party emails, according to reports. The
Kentucky Republican says that Assange should be granted the opportunity to testify at a Senate Intelligence Committee
hearing to reveal how his whistleblower organization obtained and published Democratic emails, saying it "would be
nice to hear."Sen. Paul suggests that the compromise may be a way of getting valuable information from Assange without
causing him greater harm.
“I think that he should be given immunity from prosecution in exchange for coming to the
United States and testifying,” Senator Paul told the Gateway Pundit.
“I think he’s been someone who has released a lot
of information, and you can debate whether or not any of that has caused harm, but I think really he has information
that is probably pertinent to the hacking of the Democratic emails that would be nice to hear.”
