President Trump has asserted executive privilege over special counsel Robert Mueller’s unredacted report and the underlying evidence, the Justice Department said Wednesday.
Assistant Attorney General Stephen Boyd notified the House Judiciary Committee of the development in a letter Wednesday morning, as the committee was poised to vote on a contempt citation against Attorney General William Barr for failing to turn over the unredacted report and underlying materials, which the panel had demanded via subpoena.
