GOP Rep. Justin Amash Calls for Impeachment of President Trump

Libertarian Republican Congressman Justin Amash of Michigan called for the impeachment of President Trump on Saturday, becoming the first GOP congressman or senator to do so. Amash also accused Attorney General William Barr of misleading the public about the findings of the Mueller report.

Last month Amash expressed his openness to running against President Trump in 2020 as the Libertarian Party candidate, Roll Call reported.

Amash made his case in a Twitter thread which is presented below without commentary.

Here are my principal conclusions:

1. Attorney General Barr has deliberately misrepresented Mueller’s report.

2. President Trump has engaged in impeachable conduct.

3. Partisanship has eroded our system of checks and balances.

4. Few members of Congress have read the report.

I offer these conclusions only after having read Mueller’s redacted report carefully and completely, having read or watched pertinent statements and testimony, and having discussed this matter with my staff, who thoroughly reviewed materials and provided me with further analysis.

In comparing Barr’s principal conclusions, congressional testimony, and other statements to Mueller’s report, it is clear that Barr intended to mislead the public about Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s analysis and findings.

Barr’s misrepresentations are significant but often subtle, frequently taking the form of sleight-of-hand qualifications or logical fallacies, which he hopes people will not notice.

Under our Constitution, the president “shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.” While “high Crimes and Misdemeanors” is not defined, the context implies conduct that violates the public trust.

Contrary to Barr’s portrayal, Mueller’s report reveals that President Trump engaged in specific actions and a pattern of behavior that meet the threshold for impeachment.

Exxon Evacuates All Foreign Staff From Iraqi Oilfield On Security Concerns

Israel Attacks Syria Two Consecutive Nights While Hosting Eurovision Finals

State TV says military shot down ‘hostile targets coming from direction of occupied territories,’ a day after explosions heard in vicinity of Iranian and Hezbollah facilities.

Syria claimed its air defenses on Saturday night shot down a number of missiles fired from Israel, for the second time in less than 24 hours.

The official SANA news agency said the military intercepted “hostile targets coming from direction of occupied territories.” Syrian state TV said the missiles were shot down over Quneitra and near Damascus.

Rami Abdel Rahman, head of the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said Israel fired at least three missiles. Two of the strikes targeted a Syrian army brigade which supervises the country’s Quneitra province, he told AFP, while the third missile was destroyed by Syrian defenses.

On Friday night, Syrian state TV reported sounds of explosions near the capital, and aired footage of what it claimed were air defenses intercepting missiles fired from Israeli jets seen over Quneitra in the Syrian Golan Heights.

“Aerial defenses detected hostile targets coming from the direction of Quneitra and dealt with them,” the official SANA news agency quoted a military source saying, referring to a Syrian town in the Golan Heights bordering Israel.

Instagram Hackers Forum Gets Hacked by Other Hackers

Hackers hacked the OGUSERS forum and published its database in another hacker forum, the administration announced on the forum itself on Tuesday.

OGUSERS, also known as OGU by its members, is a marketplace forum ostensibly launched to trade “OG” usernames, as in: unique, short, and rare usernames, and is also notoriously known to be a forum for hackers who specialize in breaking into other people’s accounts, taking control of them, and then selling them with prices ranging up to $5,000. Members of the forum were also apparently involved in a technique called SIM swapping to hijack people’s phone numbers.

“It appears someone was able to breach the server through a custom plugin in the forum software and get access to an old backup dating December 26, 2018,” the administrator, who goes by Ace, wrote. “I do understand everyone's frustration and I am deeply sorry this has all happened recently. You must realize other sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Dropbox, Forums you have used in the past, and many more have been breached at least once. People are targeting the site 365 days a year,” the administrator added.

Another hacker, nicknamed Omnipotent, announced the hack in another forum called Raidforums. The hacked data includes OGUSERS usernames, passwords hashed with the MD5 algorithm, emails, IP addresses, source code, website data, and private messages.

“It's like a nuke dropped on the site,” a OGUSERS member told Vice Motherboard. According to the member, people are quitting the site, worried that authorities have their data, or that others will now hack their accounts.

China urges US to abandon ‘long arm jurisdiction’, show restraint on Iran & trade war issues

Beijing has warned the US against taking the ongoing trade war “too far,” and once again criticized Washington’s unilateralist diplomacy, calling upon it to show “restraint” in the escalating standoff with Tehran.

The remarks have been made by the country’s top diplomat, Wang Yi, during phone talks with the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, China’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Saturday. The US State Department shared little details of the conversation.

The Chinese Foreign Minister urged the US not go “too far” in escalating the current trade war, reiterating Beijing’s willingness to settle differences through negotiations. Any agreement, however, is possible only on an equal footing, Wang stressed.

Aside from the trade issues, the two diplomats discussed the situation in the Middle East, in particular the standoff between the US and Iran. Beijing called upon both parties to show restraint and avoid further escalation – at the same time emphasizing its firm stand against Washington’s “long arm jurisdiction” policies.

Tensions in the Middle East have been soaring over the past few weeks, with the US repeatedly – yet without any solid proof – accusing Iran of plotting attacks on American citizens and interests. Washington has significantly ramped up its military presence in the region, deploying strategic bombers and sending a carrier group. Tehran, on its part, maintains that it is not seeking a war with anyone, yet it has repeatedly warned that the country is capable to defend itself from any attack.

Iraqi Parliament Poised to Evict US Troops

Talk of US attacking Iran has many Iraqi officials keen to get rid of them

Iraq has spent the better share of the last 16 years under US military occupation. Despite this, time and again US-Iraqi relations have come to be defined by US hostility toward neighboring Iran, and Iraq’s desire to not get mixed up in that.

So while Iraq’s parliament was already bristling under Pentagon talk of staying in Iraq, and Trump saying that the US was staying in Iraq to “keep an eye on Iran,” the recent escalation of US rhetoric about a war against Iran has sparked action within parliament.

On Saturday, Iraq will be voting on a bill that would aim to expel all foreign troops from Iraqi soil, and singles out US troops in particular as needing to leave. The bill is endorsed by Iraq’s top two Shi’ite blocs, and is expected to pass fairly easily.

What happens then is the real question. Iraq’s parliament is already being spun as “pro-Iran factions,” and it’s been a long time since US officials, Pentagon or otherwise, gave any indication that they thought staying in Iraq was up to the Iraqi government.

So while the Iraqi Prime Minister is warning the US that they can’t use Iraq to launch a war on Iran, the US is browbeating Iraq over its government-aligned Shi’ite militias, and doing everything they can to try to portray that Shi’ite-dominated Iraqi government as effectively in league with the Iranians, and subsequently a threat to US interests. No matter what happens, it seems certain US-Iraqi ties will suffer for it.

America’s Insatiable Military

The United States government authorizes itself to be the dictator of the world, and this couldn’t happen if it didn’t have allies who accept this type of humiliating treatment. An insatiable US military is essential in order for such a regime to be able to have any success at all.

For example, on May 10th, the US regime warned that if Venezuela’s government takes any actions against the participants in the failed April 30th US-backed coup-attempt in Venezuela, then the US regime will tighten the economic-sanctions screws even harder, which means that any nation that trades with Venezuela will be even more punished than before. Economic sanctions are the first step of war, the end-step being a military invasion, but it’s really dictating to other countries whom they can trade with, and whom not. America’s economic sanctions are saying: Move aside, UN, WTO, etc.; we’re taking over as the judge, jury, policeman and executioner, for the entire world. Move aside — we do whatever we want, and we’ll crush you, too, if you resist. American ‘democracy’ is being spread by international dictatorship, and it’s now bolder than ever.

One of the excuses that the US regime offers for these economic sanctions is that they are necessary in order to punish Venezuela’s government for Venezuelans’ suffering from shortages of food, medicine, and other necessities, but the chief purpose of the sanctions — an economic blockade, actually — is precisely to engender such shortages. They are a vastly bigger success than many in the public recognize, and so other reasons for those shortages, etc., are instead cited by the US regime and its allies. In other words, it’s an extremely effective operation to fool the public — not only about how effective the sanctions are (which is very); but also about why these extraordinary conditions now exist in Venezuela, Iran, and other countries that the US regime (and its allies) sanction. In other words: the publics (at least in allied countries) are fooled to believe that the main source of the problems in those suffering countries is the government that the US regime is trying to overthrow, the victim nations themselves. The mind-control operation here is that the extreme problems in the sanctioned countries are to be blamed on those nations’ internal political situation, instead of on the US and its allied regimes — their shared determination to overthrow and replace the targeted governments. The US regime thinks that the American people (and the publics in its allied regimes) will be too stupid to recognize the self-contradiction here (that it uses those sanctions in order to help, instead of to impoverish, the people in the targeted lands), and thus that they will blame only Venezuela’s government for the shortages, etc. But the undeniable fact is that by blocking trade between Venezuela and its trading-partners, Venezuela not only can’t import, but can’t export, and so gets economically strangled — which is what is happening — and that’s the success of the sanctions.

Order of the Eastern Star

he Order of the Eastern Star is according to its own literature, '…the largest fraternal organization in the world (it is American but there are chapters in Italy, Saudi Arabia, Romania, Germany, Australia, Brazil, China and the Philippines) to which both men and women belong.

General History

The Order of the Eastern Star is an adoptive rite of Freemasonry with teachings based on the Bible and objectives that are officially charitable and benevolent but in reality serving the evil purpose of the illuminati. The founder of OES was Dr. Robert Morris, a high degree Freemason, a lawyer and an educator from Boston, Massachusetts, who was a Master Mason and Past Grand Master of Kentucky. Dr. Morris intended his creation to become a female branch of Freemasonry, but he failed to overcome the great opposition this idea engendered. After his first published ritual in 1849-50, he became associated with Robert Macoy who wrote and published a ritual based on Morris' in 1867.

Order of the Eastern StarThe first Grand Chapter was organized in Michigan in the same year. (There is evidence for an organization of the same name founded variously in 1788 or 1793, but this group was defunct by 1867.) Subordinate (local) chapters operate under charter from state level grand chapters which are responsible to the General Grand Chapter at the International Eastern Star Temple in Washington, D.C.

Members must be eighteen years or older and either Master Masons in good standing or properly related to a Master Mason in good standing. The latter category includes wives; widows; sisters; daughters; mothers; granddaughters; step-mothers; step daughters; step-sisters; and half-sisters. In 1994 this was expanded to include nieces, daughters-in- law, and grandmothers.

Each chapter has eighteen officers, some elected and others appointed. Two offices are specifically male (Patron and Associate Patron) while nine offices are specifically female (including Matron and Associate Matron). While the Worthy Matron is considered to be the presiding officer of the chapter, the degrees cannot be conferred without a presiding brother in good standing (hence the Patron and Associate Patron).

Each chapter retains the right to decide who shall be a member of the organization. Election to the degrees must be unanimous, without debate, and secret. The successful candidate must profess a belief in a Supreme Being and is initiated in five degrees, which are conferred in one ceremony. (When Eastern Star was created, it was intended to be the first of a three degree series. The second and third degrees were Queen of the South and the Order of the Amaranth,

respectively.)

Interestingly enough, OES requires only the belief in a Supreme Being even though the degrees are based in both the Old and New Testaments. While non-Christians are not specifically barred from membership, it would seem to be difficult to be other than Christian and belong to the Order.
