It doesn’t give me hope that the US Attorney who originally gave Epstein his sweetheart plea deal is now Trump’s Secretary of Labor and the current US Attorney who is arguing the plea deal must stand was appointed by Trump and now answers to Barr.
Not by demanding the judge hold up Epstein’s plea bargain which gave full immunity and secrecy to anyone who was named in the indictments.
Yea I fail to see how any transparency or charges can be brought when the prosecutor is literally arguing for the plea to be upheld and the case stay sealed. He said the victims can tell their story but it doesn’t matter when everyone has already been granted full immunity and Epstein’s deal was set up to where the federal immunity he and everyone else got makes it unconstitutional to try him under double jeopardy law. There is no sunshine peaking thru on this arrangement if it’s upheld.

Agreed. The judge holds the keys of the uS attorney is trying to keep everything covered up. Seeing how Epstein seems to have friends in the highest of places on both sides of the political spectrum, like I said I’m not hopeful. Maybe this judge has the rare moral compass.

He wants to do all the DOJ stuff. I’d imagine he’s waiting for the IG report to come out and give everyone a strongly worded letter of condemnation, then Lindsey will investigate why everyone only got a letter of condemnation. And around and around we go.
He said the report is his testimony and if called to testify he will only answer with what’s in the report. But he obviously isn’t going to defy a subpoena.
Barr will definitely tell him to feel free to defy the subpoena and assure him that he won’t prosecute any contempt charge that might be brought forward. I’m willing to bet Mueller will show, but in about 10 days it will be arranged to be behind closed doors.
