One slightly odd thing that stood out for me was the brief mention (blink and you'll miss it) about how the supderconductor material is coated in gold for protection.
So gold is a critical element in achieving this anti-gravity feat…but here at least, the specific reason for gold's application is vague.
Just for "protection"? I'll have to dig for more scientific explanations. Why gold versus some other element?
If not levitation…then IMMORTALITY? Or both…?
Egyptian mythology and the legends of Thoth and Hermes Trismegistus, we will see that there are references to both of them drinking ‘white drops’, also referred to as ‘liquid gold’, which provided them with immortality. References about this can be found in the Quran (Sura 18; the Khidr) and in one of the Nag Hammadi texts.
(Digging and I find more references to "flesh of the gods" than Q's mention of "skin of the gods." Not sure if there would be a difference.)
Interesting that the Ancient Egyptians (who seemed to know a lot about a lot of things) were not that interested in silver.
