Most devices (switches, recepticals…) are made of ferrous alloys, and will react with aluminum wiring. Specialty devices can be purchased of aluminum hardware.

Specialty dielectric Grease is used in connections between copper and aluminum to displace the elements causing corrosion

Such connections are to be marked Purple or Violet.
