Iran to meet nuclear deal members

VIENNA: The remaining signatories to the Iran nuclear deal will meet in Vienna on Sunday to try again to find a way of saving the accord after the US pulled out, amid mounting tensions between Tehran and Washington.

Envoys from Britain, France, Germany, China, Russia and Iran will take part in the meeting which comes a month after a similar gathering failed to achieve a breakthrough.

Tensions between Tehran and Washington have escalated since last year when US President Donald Trump pulled out of the accord that was aimed at curbing Iran's nuclear programme, and imposed punishing sanctions.

And we’re talking EVERYTHING– names, addresses, Social Security Numbers… all the ingredients that an identity thief needs to destroy your life.

Equifax was totally at fault; the company had sloppy, irresponsible controls in place to safeguard this critical personal data.

So sloppy, in fact, that the hackers had been inside their system pillaging data for 10 weeks before the company realized anything was wrong.

Perhaps that’s not such a surprise given that the company’s Chief Security Officer had zero credentials related to either IT or security.

Last week Equifax was fined $700 million by the US Federal Trade Commission.

Gun control bills passed 6 months ago have yet to become NY laws

There was urgency in late January when lawmakers at the state Capitol pushed through a package of gun restrictions.

It was a dire month for mass shootings around the nation, so Democrats in the Assembly and Senate moved swiftly to crack down on devices that make guns unload rounds more quickly, add new background check restrictions, block teachers and others from carrying guns on school grounds and create a new statewide gun buyback program for municipalities.

Six months later, however, the four measures have yet to be acted on by Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, whose administration on Jan. 29 signaled he supported all of the bills.

Had they been signed into law six months ago, two of the measures would have become law immediately, two others would take effect this coming Sunday.

How do bills pitched to the public as imperative and potentially life-saving in scope not get final action, while bills renaming roads or extending localities’ ability to donate used computer equipment were signed into law in the same period?

Gothenburg’s blood reserves running low thanks to rampant knife crime

Thanks to a wave of knife crime in Gothenburg – Sweden’s second-largest city – healthcare facilities have reported that their blood reserves are running dangerously low.

Last week, healthcare professionals in Gothenburg sent out SMS texts to city residences imploring them to donate blood to alleviate shortages, which according to Sahlgrenska University Hospital’s Stefan Jakobsson, are due to a recent wave of knife attacks in the city, Sveriges Radio reports.

Among the generous Swedes who answered the call to donate was Richard Christofferson.

“I got a text message that you should come in if you could. I do it to help others who need blood, but I also have too much iron in my body so I also need to give regularly,” Christofferson said.

Last week, Gothenburg witnessed two fatal stabbings in its city center. One of the stabbings occurred at the famous Nordstan shopping center.

A 21-year-old who allegedly carried the murder out and a 24-year-old who is thought to have assisted him have both been arrested by Gothenburg police.

Britain to send second warship to Gulf amid rising tension with Iran

Britain is sending a second warship to the Gulf amid rising tensions with Iran, as it said it was discussing with the US the possibility of building up its military presence in the area.

Relations between Tehran and the West have come under increasing strain after UK authorities seized an Iranian tanker in Gibraltar heading for Syria and a Royal Navy ship was harassed by Revolutionary Guards in the Strait of Hormuz.

The HMS Duncan, a Type 45 Destroyer and one of the most advanced warships in the world, will sail to the Gulf in the coming days to provide support to the HMS Montrose. It is understood it was due to travel to the region, but its deployment was brought forward in light of recent events.

Sweden: Rape Capital of the West

Forty years after the Swedish parliament unanimously decided to change the formerly homogenous Sweden into a multicultural country, violent crime has increased by 300% and rapes by 1,472%. Sweden is now number two on the list of rape countries, surpassed only by Lesotho in Southern Africa.

Significantly, the report does not touch on the background of the rapists. One should, however, keep in mind that in statistics, second-generation immigrants are counted as Swedes.

In an astounding number of cases, the Swedish courts have demonstrated sympathy for the rapists, and have acquitted suspects who have claimed that the girl wanted to have sex with six, seven or eight men.

The internet radio station Granskning Sverige called the mainstream newspapers Aftonbladet and Expressen to ask why they had described the perpetrators as "Swedish men" when they actually were Somalis without Swedish citizenship. They were hugely offended when asked if they felt any responsibility to warn Swedish women to stay away from certain men. One journalist asked why that should be their responsibility.

In 1975, the Swedish parliament unanimously decided to change the former homogeneous Sweden into a multicultural country. Forty years later the dramatic consequences of this experiment emerge: violent crime has increased by 300%.

If one looks at the number of rapes, however, the increase is even worse. In 1975, 421 rapes were reported to the police; in 2014, it was 6,620. That is an increase of 1,472%.

Sweden is now number two on the global list of rape countries. According to a survey from 2010, Sweden, with 53.2 rapes per 100,000 inhabitants, is surpassed only by tiny Lesotho in Southern Africa, with 91.6 rapes per 100,000 inhabitants.

Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-TX), a former US Attorney of the Eastern District of Texas and member of the House Intelligence Committee, joined Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures this morning to discuss the Mueller testimony this past week.

Ratcliffe called Mueller’s testimony made it obvious that there’s a hole in the impeachment balloon large enough for Jerry Nadler and Adam Schiff to walk through.

He added this on the corrupt Mueller investigators.

Rep. John Ratcliffe: Nadler and Schiff are starting to look more and more like Laurel and Hardy. It’s time to move on… Trey Gowdy said it best this week, the person who learned the most about the Mueller report during Wednesday’s hearings was Robert Mueller. And that’s sad but true. And the Mueller report and its conclusions weren’t from Robert Mueller. They were written by what a lot of people believe was Hillary Clinton’s de facto legal team, people that supported her, even represented some of her aides. So the Mueller report is really going to be difficult for the Democrats or anyone to rely upon the findings of a report when they just listened to the man whose name was on top of it not have a command of what was even in it.
