Americans need to stop thinking party lines, and think for themselves.

Several of the founding fathers were adamant about Political Parties being the downfall of this country and they were right. As long as the two party system exists Americans will be forced to two opposite poles allowing a pressure campaign to ensure that control over a majority of the populace is easily instituted and maintained. We won this battle so far, I want to win the next one too. Or better yet prevent it.

No. What I'm asking for is for political parties in their entirety to be established. You run as an independent and get elected by force of ideas.

I don't want the European style of 10-20 different parties with equal small parts of the pie. If there are no parties, you have to comp a majority of candidates to establish control. If there are 10 parties, you only have to compromise the leadership of 10 parties. If there are two, you need to compromise the leadership of two parties.

I'm talking about a Government ran by ideas and those ideas get you elected not the party you run under, the ideas you have.

The government doesn't require political parties to run. If you're running for office it should be for the ideas you bring to the table, your strength of character, and your ability to get things done.

NOT because you are member of X political party. Hence each elected member should be elected off ideas and character. Perhaps you should utilize more of those brain cells for thinking rather then attacking.

The whole avenue I was aiming at was the potential of corruption in any political party system. If you have a political party system, even if you are the worst at your job you will still get X% of party loyalists to vote for you. And if control is maintained you don't have to do anything to continue getting elected.

An absence of political parties means you actively have to woo the voters in your respective electoral region, meaning you NEED to show results or have a corresponding cult of personality that is strong enough to overcome the lack of results.

Aside from returning the power due to the states back to the states I'm not looking to change the form of Government. Simply make it less likely and harder to corrupt.

I do plan on running and while the details are still being worked out on how to implement it in an efficient manner, I am trying to find a system that allows me to assign access codes to assign to each registered voting household in my district. This would allow me to set a 72 hour window for my constituents to, in effect, complete a poll and deliver their thoughts on any given issue.

That's to ensure more direct representation, and if there were issues of classification or national security it wouldn't be a forced thing. However, it allows me to constantly have data on the thoughts of opinions of my constituents on any matter that involved them. It restores my constituents voices.
