Solar storms start days before they reach earth and are very real. it was spotted, it oriented towards earth today the 3rd, and it reaches earth on about the 5th, and will continue to affect earth for a couple of days. however, solar storms are pretty common, and aside from don't spend too much time in direct sunlight during one due to increase risk of sunburn, there's typically not much to worry about, though larger storms are said to be able to disrupt electronics and corrupt RAM and EPROM, etc. The whole reason this storm is notable is because we might be able to see an aurora similar to northern lights further south. aside from that, it's a nothingburger unless idots decide to worship it or w/e
