Seconded. I don't like the dark theme and I don't need the mini-decodes. I DO NOT send newbs to qmap … what Q writes is confusing enough without them having to figure out which words belong to Q and which were thrown in by someone else.

It took 7 tries to complete the captcha. By the time I guessed correctly, the previous bread was full.

There is at least a minor possibility that the bulk of Americans are waking up to the enemy within.

This should not be misconstrued as supporting "muh juice" poster.

Nah, just posting what we remember. Magic Carpet Ride, Windy, Inna gadda da vida, Goddam the Pusher, Leaving on a Jet Plane, White Room, 99 Bright Red Balloons, Come Up the Years, Star Spangled Banner (Hendrix version), Brooklyn Roads, Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show, Forever In Blue Jeans … they come to mind once in a while, like a half-remembered Christmas song or the hymn you never quite mastered.

Why should I post what YOU like? That's YOUR job. ;-)

Most of the "old college radio" was pretty garbage … that's probably why it went no further. Moreover, a hella lot of us went to Vietnam or dug right in supporting families, not college.

Oh, I left off Firesign Theater "We're All Bozos On This Bus" and Bill Cosby "Why Is There Air?"

Poke Salad. From the pokeweed. Edible (after multiple washes / boilings) when very young. Poisonous thereafter. Po' folk food, but an early spring green after a winter without fresh fruits and vegetables.

For background information, DAGS for Paul Stamets, in particular his TED and TEDx talks. This guy is a primary researcher with access to electron microscopes and multiple DOD contracts. He and his wife C. Dusty Wu are thought leaders in America on this topic (other countries, notably China, have invested more into mycological research). I used his suggestion regarding trametes versicolor (Turkey Tail) to reset my PSA numbers. They had spiked WAY high but have spent years way low after just two cups of tea – never repeated. Turkey Tail is also the source for the compound that treats AIDS. It's the most common mushroom in the forests of the east coast and has no poisonous look-alike.

Dunno. Found a mystery piece of coax cable, including the connector, in my yard a couple days ago. Haven't looked under the house yet, but there was no observable change in the outside box.

Two major fires in my neck of the woods in just 3 days. Folks must be getting their old space heaters out … that, or testing their Christmas tree lights.

I used to live in Farmington. The Specs Howard School of broadcasting is nearby and there is a beauty college. There is a tech school in Southfield.

So, it's good bait and has apparently been working for at least 3 years. Lock 'em up, ship 'em out!
