Mugabe is no longer in power although hos Zanu PF party still rules which is "his government". Mugabe died this past September. Back in '98 when Morgan Tsvangari's MDC party was expected to win his aircraft was on its way to Singapore and turned around when the tally came in and the intimidation at the voting locations worked.

Very sad what happened in Rhodesia/ Zimbabwe. From British Colony to liberated country run by a persuasive freedom fighter (Mugabe) who became drunk and corrupt with power and turned a jewel in southern Africa into a crime infested area. South Africa is following the same model, fast forward 20 or 30 years and South Africa will be in the same condition as present day Zimbabwe if they stay on their current course.
