127 Illuminated Windows

LMCC World Views Short Term Project, North Face of 1 World Trade (Floors 89-95)

March 29, 2001

The name of our collaboration, E-TEAM, is generic. To illuminate it on the North face of Tower 1, World Trade Center, we would use the windows between the 89th and 95th floors like elements in an LCD. It would require 279 darkened and 127 lit windows, and the help of those respective offices. We contacted 14 businesses and provided them with floor plans detailing which blinds to open and close. The support we received from the offices and their employees was integral to illuminating our name.

For months, former patients and their families have complained of unexplained injuries after leaving Lakeview.

Police spent hours searching and seizing patient records and computers, as well as interviewing workers at the administrative office. Detectives said they believe they will find evidence of dozens of crimes.

โ€œThis is a very large-scale investigation,โ€ said Gwinnett County Police Spokesperson Michele Pihera.

Officials brought their own truck and van for all the evidence they expected to find.

Authorities said they are looking into complaints of abuse, over-drugging and fraud at the facility owned by Acadia Healthcare.

โ€œIt appears all the employees are cooperative, they all understand why we are here,โ€ Pihera said.

Boy, 15, who drove wrong way around North Circular during 12-mile police chase admits dangerous driving

A 15-year-old boy who led police on a 12-mile high-speed pursuit in a stolen car that ended when it was surrounded by armed police has admitted dangerous driving.

The teenager drove a black Audi the wrong way along the A406 during the lengthy pursuit and deliberately rammed into several other vehicles when eventually surrounded by officers.

In dramatic footage of the arrest in Langston Road, Loughton, the teenager โ€“ who cannot be named - is seen being dragged from the Audi after an officer smashed one of the car window with his gun.

The car is seen striking other parked vehicles in a desperate bid to get away after police had released a stinger to stop the pursuit.

With several police guns trained on him and to shouts of โ€œget on the floorโ€, the driver is pinned down by officers before being taken into custody.

We are with firefighters as they work to put the flames out of this import/export business on Chamblee Dunwoody Road.

The products inside are giving crews a hard time โ€“ all highly flammable.

I'm live throughout #SundayAM with reports from the scene.
