i'd say you've just identified is what has already happened and could happen again. similar in 2000. paper ballots were purposefully mis-sized by a fraction so the 'chads' wouldn't line up right.
it's a great theory though. what if good guys found out that's how the dems cheat? what if trump really won by millions more than the official total? it would destroy the whole push for eliminating the electoral college and all the 'muh popular vote' shit. what if all trump's misspellings stem from exactly this?
