1) Do you know that PDF documents can optionally have a font embedded in them or if none is embedded the fonts on the user's device will be used.
2) Did you scan the binary of that PDF file and find out whether it contains an embedded font file or not?
3) I have seen some very weird results when one person presumes that others have the same font on their computer but they don't.
4) Can you paste a screen capture of what you see? Maybe we can help figure out what you are looking at.
5) Different operating systems and OS versions contain lists of font substitutions, in case they don't have the specified font to display a web page or PDF document. Do you know how to find out the font substitution list for your device?
6) Do you know what fonts are installed on your device?
Some questions like these need answered carefully and thoroughly before anybody goes off halfcocked thinking they discovered the laws of the universe.
