According to the timelines shown on screen, the story starts in 1960 and ends in 1961. However, in one of the scenes on the ship, in the background you can hear JFK's speech about the Cuban Missile Crisis from October 1962.

I don’t think Q is making a direct connection to this event but instead is showing the ruse relationship to Democratic impeachment.
They started in on impeachment before Trump was ever sworn in. The evidence supports (they) Dems lied and began the coup with insurance policies well before Trump became the national nominee. They would have started these impeachment shenanigans no matter who had won the republican nomination.
