In April, 2017 Scientific American published a piece by Walter Quattrociocchi called "Inside the Echo Chamber". I think the DS is really aware of the spread of truth via social media and desperately wants to counteract it. The story in Scientific American did not name Cambridge Analytica but did report doing research using Facebook pages and millions of Facebook users. Here's a direct quote from Mr. Quatrociocchi given on p. 63 of the April, 2017 edition of Scientific American: "We observed the same dynamics in a study of 55 million Facbook users in the U.S. Users avoid cognitive discord by consuming information that supports their preexisting beliefs, and they share that information widely. Moreover, we found that over time people who embrace conspiracy theories in one domain-say, the (nonexistent) connection between vaccines and autism-will seek out such theories in other domains. Once inside the echo chamber, the tend to embrace the entire conspiracy corpus." He goes on at the top of the next paragraph to say "These dynamics suggest that the spread of online misinformation will be very hard to stop."
My point? As vaccines are relentlessly pushed and increasingly mandated for everyone more and more people will lose their cognitive dissonance about "safe and effective" versus myriad sick and brain-damaged folks EVERYWHERE. Once you know vaccines are bad, you know the rest of the story, too. The DS knows this. Why did Adam Schiff call on Facebook and Google to suppress "anti-vaccine" misinformation? Btw, they know its hopeless. They just want to try to take our guns and vaccinate us to death or disability before too many of us are awake.
