In an interview on Fox last night Jay Seculow (sp?) left open the door to concluding the President’s defense in less than 24 hours of endless drivel if they had made their points.
He inferred (not giving details) that they would be rebutting most, if not all, of the House Managers’ claims, then attack the impeachment process in the House. They left open the door to providing new information that directly challenges the two articles of impeachment. 1) that the articles do not even describe an impeachable offense and 2) the President is not guilty of either charge if they were impeachable.
They plan to use audio/visual clips to back up their claims and to break up the monotony of listening to their people speak for hours on end.
Certain this is not all they have up their sleeve, but look for them to have a tight plan to smear Schiff and his team out of the Senate Chambers and scurrying back to the basement of the Capital with their collective tails between their legs.
