Yes, you are right, I misread the article. However, concurrent with that purchase and managerial shake up some new faces were "placed" on the board of Fox, to include never Trumper Paul Ryan.
I would posit that part of the behind the scenes dealing was that the far left progressive Disney organization required some concessions on what remained as Fox Corp. That Paul Ryan became a director, bringing with him vast and deep classified knowledge some of which perhaps pertained to Judge Nap is a very suspicious confluence of events and timelines of the editorial stance of Fox News.
