This week, the pollsters at Gallup released some interesting data related to Americans’ views of their country following the first three years of the Trump administration.

According to the data – chronicled by Gallup senior editor Lydia Saad – Americans’ satisfaction with the economy is up 22 percentage points since January 2017 (from 46 to 68 percent). Meanwhile, satisfaction with our nation’s security from terrorism is up 18 percentage points (from 50 to 68 percent) and satisfaction with our military is up 15 percentage points (from 66 to 81 percent).

Interestingly, satisfaction with the status of race relations is up 14 percentage points (from 22 to 36 percent) while satisfaction with the position of blacks and other racial minorities in the country is up nine percentage points (from 37 to 46 percent).

Think Trump won’t use those data points to try and win over black voters?

Overall, Americans’ satisfaction with the various issues polled by Gallup was up three percentage points for the year to 47 percent – which is up six percentage points from 2016.
