Poroshenko ‘most corrupt president ever,’ Hunter Biden’s board job may have been bribe for his father – UkraineGate documentary

Former Ukrainian officials told a French journalist that President Petro Poroshenko was directly involved in corruption, and that Hunter Biden’s job at the gas company Burisma was a bribe to his father, the US vice president.

US President Donald Trump is currently on trial in the Senate, having been impeached by the House over Democrat allegations that withholding military aid to Ukraine over corruption concerns amounted to an abuse of power. Former Ukrainian officials and anti-corruption activists, however, have testified that not only was there corruption involving Burisma, the natural gas firm tied to former vice president and Democratic presidential frontrunner Joe Biden’s son, but that it went all the way to the top.

These revelations can be found in the third installment of the documentary series ‘UkraineGate: Inconvenient facts’, produced by the French investigative journalist Olivier Berruyer, founder of popular anti-corruption and economics blog Les Crises.

Muslim Immigrant In Charge of Cleaning Up San Francisco’s Streets Is Arrested on Federal Fraud And Bribery Charges

To the surprise of few, yet another official in feces-ridden San Francisco has been arrested as part of an FBI investigation. The man who’s in charge of cleaning up the feces who’s in jail. Mohammed Nuru was San Francisco’s “Director of Public Works.”

The FBI hauled him in on bribery and wire fraud charges. They also picked up restaurateur Nick Bovis as part of the scheme.

San Francisco’s Director of Public Works Mohammed Nuru, 58, and Lefty O’Doul’s owner Nick Bovis, 57, were charged in a criminal complaint with honest services wire fraud in connection with an alleged scheme to attempt to bribe a San Francisco Airport Commissioner, United States Attorney David Anderson announced at a press conference.

“The complaint describes a web of corruption involving bribery, kickbacks, and side deals by one of San Francisco’s highest-ranking city employees,” Anderson said in a statement. “The public is entitled to honest work from public officials, free from manipulation for the official’s own personal benefit and profit.”

Update-Army continues to advance in direction of Saraqeb, inflicts heavy losses on terrorists

Idleb, SANA- Syrian Arab Army units have liberated more villages and towns in Idleb southeastern countryside from terrorism after fierce battles that resulted in the killing and injury of many terrorists, in addition to destroying their equipment and vehicles.

SANA’s reporter said that army units have continued their intensive operations in hunting down the remnants of terrorist organizations which have fled from Ma’aret al-Nu’aman City in the direction of Saraqeb as they engaged in fierce clashes with terrorists inside the towns of Ma’ardibseh and Khan al-Sobul after carrying out artillery bombardments and firing a barrage of shells and destroying their fortifications.

The reporter added that the clashes ended by liberating the villages of Khan Ma’ardibseh and Khan al-Sobul on the two sides of Aleppo-Idleb International Highway amid a state of collapse and chaos among the ranks of terrorists due to the successive victories achieved by the army.

The reporter added that while combing the liberated areas, army units found tunnels and trenches used by terrorists to move around and to hide from the strikes of the army.

Google temporarily closing down offices in China due to coronavirus

Google is temporarily shutting down its offices in mainland China due to concerns over the rapidly spreading coronavirus, with the company also urging employees who have recently been to China to self-quarantine themselves for two weeks upon returning home.

The tech corporation has also closed its offices in Hong Kong and Taiwan, where the coronavirus has also appeared. The disease surpassed the early-2000s SARS outbreak's number of infected people this week, with 5,974 cases confirmed as of Wednesday.

Tech companies Apple and Facebook have also restricted employee travel to China this week, with Apple confirming that it has shut down at least one retail store in China in an effort to contain the spread of the disease.

U.S. Economic Growth Hit 2.1 Percent in Fourth Quarter

The U.S. economy grew at a seasonally adjusted annualized rate of 2.1 percent in the final three months of 2019.

That was in line with economists’ forecasts. The economy grew at a 2.1 percent rate in the third quarter as well.

Real Gross Domestic Product increased 2.3 percent in 2019, down from 2.9 percent in 2018. Measured from the fourth quarter of 2018 to the fourth quarter of 2010 real GDP increased 2.3 percent during the period, down from 2.5 percent a year prior.

US forces block another Russian military convoy in northeast Syria

BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:30 P.M.) – The U.S. military has blocked another Russian military convoy in northeastern Syria, a new report from the Al-Hasakah Governorate claimed on Thursday.

According to the report, the U.S. military halted the Russian military convoy as it was trying to bypass their checkpoint near the key town of Tal Tamr in the western countryside of the Al-Hasakah Governorate on Wednesday.

Despite the obstruction, the Russian military rerouted their convoy and made their way to Tal Tamr from another entrance.

The U.S. military has now blocked the Russian Armed Forces on at least nine occasions since the start of the new year, with most of these obstructions taking place along the International Highway (M-4) near Tal Tamr.

Iran sentences Christian convert to 3 years in prison for “insulting Islamic sacred beliefs

The Iranian court sentenced a 65-year-old Christian convert to three years in prison on January 11 for "insulting Islamic sacred beliefs," according to religious freedom watchdog group Article 18.

Ismaeil Maghrebinejad was arrested at his home last January after local authorities discovered he had forwarded a message on his phone that allegedly insulted Iranian religious leaders.

Maghrebinejad is currently being tried for two other charges: "propaganda against the Islamic Republic" and "membership of a group hostile to the regime."

An additional fourth charge was dropped last November, in which he was accused of apostasy after he converted to Christianity. According to Iranian law, this offense is punishable by death.
