63.4%: Labor Force Participation at Trump-Era High As Labor Force Grows by 574,000
(CNSNews.com) - President Donald Trump never misses an opportunity to plug the strong employment picture for which he takes credit, and today he earned more bragging rights:
The Labor Department's Bureau of Labor Statistics said the economy created 225,000 in January, well above estimates. BLS says notable job gains occurred in construction, in health care, and in transportation and warehousing.
The number of employed Americans dipped in January to 158,714,000 – down 89,000 from December's record high.
The unemployment rate ticked up a tenth of a point to 3.6 percent in January.

6 arrested in public embezzlement case in Miss.
A former Department of Human Services director and five others have been accused of embezzling millions of dollars meant for low-income families in Mississippi. The case is deemed one of the largest embezzlement cases in the state’s history.
This week, state officials announced an ex-state director, a former pro-wrestler and four colleagues were arrested after they had allegedly stolen more than $4 million of taxpayer money for personal expenses.

Ann McGrew, a former accountant for Mississippi Community Education Center (MCEC)
Zachery New, Assistant Executive Director of MCEC

This all comes as part of a months-long investigation by the state’s auditor. They have been charged for supposedly using “temporary assistance for needy families” funds.

‘I tuned in to watch football, not porn’: Christian activist wants to sue ‘for $867 trillion’ over J. Lo & Shakira Super Bowl show
Christian minister Dave Daubenmire has vowed to sue the NFL and broadcasters over the “pornographic” Super Bowl halftime show performed by Latina pop divas Jennifer Lopez and Shakira.
The performance at last Sunday's Super Bowl LIV in Miami featured veteran popstress Lopez, 50, pole-dancing and knee-sliding toward the camera with her crotch.
Colombian diva Shakira, 43, belly-danced and also performed while bound with ropes.
Daubenmire, a local minister in Ohio and former football coach, is enraged that Super Bowl organizers and sponsors put on the show without prior warning of its “explicit content.”
"I think we ought to sue,” Daubenmire ranted this week on his ‘Pass the Salt’ podcast.
"Would that halftime show, would that have been rated PG? Were there any warnings that your 12-year-old son, whose hormones are just starting to operate, was there any warning that what he was going to see might cause him to get sexually excited?
"Could I go into a courtroom and say, 'Viewing what you put on that screen put me in danger of hellfire'?
"Could the court say, 'That doesn't apply here because the right to [show] porn overrides your right [not] to watch it'?
"Yeah, well, you didn't tell me I was going to watch it! You just brought it into my living room. You didn't tell me there were going to be crotch shots!
“That's discriminatory against the value I have in my house. You can't just do that.
"I want to sue them for about $867 trillion."

Court Deals Brutal Blow To Opponents Of FCC’s Net Neutrality Repeal
A U.S. appeals court dealt a big blow Thursday to opponents of the Federal Communication Commission’s decision to repeal an Obama-era regulation that conservatives believe restrained the open internet.
The full U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia declined to rehear an October 2019 ruling that upheld the repeal of net neutrality rules. More than a dozen U.S. states joined tech and advocacy groups in asking the court to reconsider the decision.
FCC Chairman Ajit Pai supports the court’s decision, a spokeswoman for the independent federal agency said. “The internet has remained free and open, consumers have been protected, speeds have increased, and more and more Americans have gotten access to broadband,” she said.

Mao's Great Leap Forward 'killed 45 million in four years'
Mao Zedong, founder of the People's Republic of China, qualifies as the greatest mass murderer in world history, an expert who had unprecedented access to official Communist Party archives said yesterday.
Speaking at The Independent Woodstock Literary Festival, Frank Dikötter, a Hong Kong-based historian, said he found that during the time that Mao was enforcing the Great Leap Forward in 1958, in an effort to catch up with the economy of the Western world, he was responsible for overseeing "one of the worst catastrophes the world has ever known".
Mr Dikötter, who has been studying Chinese rural history from 1958 to 1962, when the nation was facing a famine, compared the systematic torture, brutality, starvation and killing of Chinese peasants to the Second World War in its magnitude. At least 45 million people were worked, starved or beaten to death in China over these four years; the worldwide death toll of the Second World War was 55 million

Christopher Steele Is Not Happy That Trump Slammed The ‘Fake Dossier’
Christopher Steele’s intelligence firm responded to President Trump’s comments on Thursday about the “fake dossier.”
Orbis Business Intelligence, Steele’s London-based company, said that Trump made “false claims” about the dossier.
The dossier was all but debunked by the special counsel’s report and DOJ inspector general’s report.
The inspector general blasted the FBI for its handling of information from Steele, who investigated Trump on behalf of the Clinton campaign and DNC.

Appeals Court Throws Out Democrats’ Emoluments Lawsuit Against Trump
A federal appeals court on Friday morning tossed a lawsuit brought by congressional Democrats alleging that President Donald Trump violated the Constitution’s emoluments clause by using the White House to profit from the presidency.
The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals wrote in a 12-page decision that Democrat lawmakers behind the suit lack the standing required to sue.
“The Members can, and likely will, continue to use their weighty voices to make their case to the American people, their colleagues in the Congress and the President himself, all of whom are free to engage that argument as they see fit,” the decision reads. “But we will not—indeed we cannot—participate in this debate. The Constitution permits the Judiciary to speak only in the context of an Article III case or controversy and this lawsuit presents neither.”

US serious about denuke talks with North Korea: IAEA Chief
During his two-day visit to the US for the first time since taking office two months ago, the UN nuclear watchdog chief said his agency will undertake a reliable, independent verification process once Washington and Pyongyang reach a disarmament deal.
But he added the verification process will not be easy, given North Korea’s expanded nuclear arsenal since 2009, when it expelled four IAEA inspectors upon the UN Security Council’s adoption of a resolution denouncing Pyongyang’s rocket launches.
“North Korea is a nuclear weapons state, illegally, and we don’t legally recognize that,” Grossi said.
The IAEA chief said the UN Security Council will have to sanction a revision to the Non-Proliferation Treaty to make that happen, but it seems highly unlikely.
North Korea joined the IAEA in 1974 and signed the NPT in 1985, but it dropped out of the watchdog in 1994 and withdrew from the treaty in 2003.

The release of the Coronavirus was unquestionably an accidental ‘Black Swan’ event that nobody expected, especially China. But, it was their own overconfident Technocrat scientists who created it in the first place. They were sloppy. Security surrounding the deadly virus was obviously an afterthought and a small-minded one at that.

The Myth Of Incompetence: DNC Scandals Are A Feature, Not A Bug
The Iowa caucus scandal has continued to get more egregious by the hour, with new revelations routinely pouring in about extremely suspicious manipulations taking place which all just so happen to disadvantage the campaign of Bernie Sanders in the first Democratic electoral contest of 2020. By the time you read this article, there will likely have been more.
Following the failure of an extremely shady app developed by vocally anti-Sanders establishment insiders which reportedly was literally altering vote count numbers after they were entered, Black Hawk County supervisor Chris Schwartz shared the election results in his county on Facebook so the public could have some idea of what’s going on as the Iowa Democratic Party (IDP) slowly trickles out the results of the caucuses.
Sanders supporters quickly highlighted the fact that the IDP’s reported numbers for Black Hawk County were wildly different from those reported by Schwartz, with votes taken from Sanders and given to minor fringe candidates Deval Patrick and Tom Steyer. The IDP then announced that it would be making “a minor correction to the last batch of results”, which just so happened to be in Black Hawk County and just so happened to give Sanders back some votes (but still remains different from that reported by Schwartz).
