Puts out its own light, proven by the fact that moonlight chills what it hits. Not reflected light. Produced by the moon itself. "Vastness of space" can refer to anything. Atmospheric space. Cyber space. And accepting that yes, we have gone to the moon, even with non public technology, does not address the issues of whether it was manned or what exactly the moon may be.
