One of the problems facing the republic is censorship masquerading as the sanitization of public discourse. This place is a public town square filled with lovers, fighters, users, and abusers. This place belongs to each one of them equally, because it is their discourse that fuels the board.
This view is not shared by other public squares on the internet such as youtube and twitter. There the platform believes they are superior to the user, and at their discretion erase or silence users with little to no provocation. Places like that are not viewed kindly of around here.
Perhaps everything posted here is not germaine or useful, but the fact that those expressions are not censured is what this movement and this country was founded on. This is why the first amendment is the first.
If this place was a church, and I saw tits and ass all over the place I would not attend. If this place was kindergarden and I saw the word NIGGER written on the walls, I would cover my kids eyes as we beat feet. But this place is none of those things.
This place is where a person can share whatever thoughts they wish to share, even if those thoughts are sexual or hateful. The cream always rises to the top.
Imagine it was your job to stop DS actions.
Imagine you were human. Imagine you make mistakes.
Imagine lives get lost.
Imagine you have to try and sleep, knowing you failed innocents.
Imagine you don't want to go to work the next day.
Then imagine all the lives lost if you gave up.
This is war. No plan survives enemy contact.
