What needs were China filling before that are now unmet?
Recycling is one that I can think of offhand, though that would take some capital to start up, it would be an enormous service to America (no more shipping recyclables there & polluting there and the oceans).
Particular items China manufactured for US businesses…
Look into 3d printing. I think this will be the manufacturing of the future (decentralized, highly flexible and far lower overhead).
Find the need that you can fill and do it.
Alright, but the point still stands - find a need that China filled, and move into that space.
