Bankfag here - I don't work at this bank, but the large, primarily auto-lending bank I DO work for initiated a moratorium on work-related international travel last week on Thursday 2/27/20. I have been off a couple days so do not know if any more measures, like these at JP Morgan, are now in effect - will find out tomorrow. Management where I am are very flexible for WFM (work from home) already, so I would not be surprised at all if we go to something like this temporarily.
As for what everyone is preparing for, it is just to make employees feel safer. Most folks only source of information is still MSM, so THE VIRUS is real in their heads, anyway. I'll redpill them tomorrow morning…
