Some thoughts about Sessions.

1. Trump really is ticked at Sessions and Q is a LARP.

1. It's a run-off and Sessions is going to end up winning when the voters for the other candidates break his way. If Sessions wins, there will be plausible deniability that he is in cahoots with Trump when he starts leading hearings into DS corruption.

1. Sessions loses (as he is supposed to). Barr picks him as a special prosecutor– again with plausible deniability that he is working with POTUS.
