Study: Up to 98% of media’s Trump coverage has been negative

How much does the media hate President Donald Trump? The answer is both simple and obvious: a lot.

Harvard’s Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy published a new study that highlighted the media’s immense bias in its coverage of the president. The results shouldn’t exactly be surprising, considering that other reports have suggested the same thing (and you can see it for yourself on CNN or MSNBC).

According to the study of media organizations – CNN, NBC, New York Times, Washington Post, BBC and even Fox News – up to 98 percent of the Trump press coverage was reported with a negative tone. All of the topics covered, except one, had mostly negative news coverage: immigration (96 percent negative), healthcare (87 percent negative), trade (84 percent negative), personnel (82 percent).

What war crimes? Pompeo promises to ‘protect’ Americans from ‘renegade’ ICC probe into US military in Afghanistan

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has said Washington will take “all steps possible” to protect Americans from the International Criminal Court (ICC) approval of a probe into war crimes it allegedly committed in Afghanistan.

Speaking to the media in Washington, Pompeo called the ICC’s decision “reckless.” The US, he said, will take all measures necessary to protect US citizens “from this renegade, unlawful so-called court.”

The ICC, which is not recognized by the US government, approved a probe into alleged war crimes by the US and others on Thursday, in a move that could, for the first time, create potential legal repercussions for its 20-year-long occupation of Afghanistan.

FBI Agents Connected To Carter Page Surveillance Barred From FISA Process

In a further demonstration of the abuses that led to the surveillance of Trump officials, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court has barred FBI officials involved in the wiretapping of former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page from appearing before the court. in rebuke that exceeded the remedial recommendations made by the independent monitor recently appointed by the court. Notably, this goes beyond the recommendations for David Kris, the highly controversial choice as an independent monitor of reforms. The order of Judge Boasberg further belies arguments that the surveillance of the Trump-relate figures was well-based and justified, as I discussed in any earlier column.

Serfs of Globalism: In the Age of Corona, What Dies First Is the Inalienable Right to Not Worry

“Nothing in the world is worth turning one’s back on what one loves.”

Albert Camus, The Plague

At what point do you become unable, or unwilling to tolerate any more fear?

The mass media doesn’t just profit off their relentless terror pollution, they also get to torture you. They get to “own” your mind and soul, inject and project right into it, mediate, frighten, confuse you, cause you to abandon your hopes, as learned helplessness finally sets in. The only good thing about Corona terror is that it gives you a slight respite from climate change terror. Hopefully, you see the never changing pattern: You are but a receptor site for para-governmental transnational corporate demoralization campaigns.

Terrorists poison themselves with chemical weapons in Idlib after trying to use them against Syrian army - Russian MоD

Jihadist militants have attempted to carry out a chemical weapons attack in a bid to foil a Syrian army attack, but lack of experience dealing with hazardous substances turned against them, Russia's Defense Ministry said.

Over a dozen terrorists tried to use their weapon of last resort in the strategic town of Saraqeb, which sits on an important highway juncture in Syria's Idlib province, according to the Russian Reconciliation Center for Syria.

In an effort to "frustrate the advance of Syrian government forces" in the western quarters of Saraqeb, they tried to detonate "high-explosive ammunition along with tanks filled with toxic chemicals," the statement revealed. Their attack, however, was to no avail.

As the terrorists weren't proficient enough in handling toxic substances, one of the tanks leaked, inflicting casualties among the attackers themselves who received "severe chemical poisoning, having failed to blow up the charges."

Syrian government forces have recently stepped up their fight for Saraqeb, which overlooks the vital M5 highway connecting Damascus to Aleppo, and the M4 which spans between Aleppo and the coastal city of Latakia.

Their advance in the city is only part of a wider offensive intended to defeat anti-government militias and members of Hayat Tahrir ash-Sham (HTS) - an offshoot of Al-Qaeda - from the rest of Idlib province. The gains they made led to increasing hostility between Damascus and Ankara, which backs the anti-government militias holed up there.

A series of skirmishes between Turkish and Syrian forces saw numerous casualties on both sides in recent weeks, with the former declaring all Syrian Army units as legitimate targets. Turkey's military has been extensively using armed drones to hit the Syrian armored vehicles, fortified positions and even individual targets. But so far, it stopped short of using their own ground troops to engage the Damascus' military.

Iran in turmoil: Coronavirus kills the 'butcher' of Tehran

Websites affiliated with Iran's exiled opposition celebrate the death of Mohammad Haj Abolghasemi, 71, calling him a "butcher" and a "hangman" due to his role in brutally suppressing civilian protests. Meanwhile, experts worry Iran's percentage of deaths to infections, now around 3.3%, is much higher than other countries.

Another senior Iranian official has been killed by the coronavirus, Iran's Tasnim News Agency reported on Wednesday, a day after Iran put its armed forces on alert to assist health officials in battling the virus, which has killed at least 77 people in an outbreak that has sickened top officials and pushed even supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei into wearing disposable gloves while trying to reassure the nation.

Mohammad Haj Abolghasemi, 71, was hospitalized in Tehran a few days ago and died on Tuesday, state media reported.

Exclusive: Army Special Forces command disbands elite units

In a historic decision for the Special Forces community, the Crisis Response Force (CRF) companies are going to be disbanded and their operators and equipment redistributed to the force.

CRF companies are an elite cadre of Green Berets who specialize in Direct Action (DA), Counterterrorism (CT), and Hostage Rescue (HR) missions. Each Special Forces Group (1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 10th) has a CRF company, and they are considered to be the strategic reserves of each combatant command in case of an emergency around the world. CRF used to be called Commander’s-in-extremis (CIF) companies.

SOFREP has learned that the United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) in conjunction with the 1st Special Forces Command (1st SFC) have decided to disband the CRFs because they are said to be underutilized and because of a lack of operators.

The decision, however, aligns with the ongoing pivot from Counterterrorism (CT) and Direct Action (DA) operations to Unconventional Warfare (UW) and Foreign Internal Defense (FID) as the Department of Defense (DoD) is edging away from counterinsurgencies and gearing toward a near-peer conflict with adversaries such as Russia and China.

328 Chinese nationals illegally crossing US border caught so far in 2020

Some 328 Chinese nationals have been apprehended while trying to illegally cross the border since January of this year — also the time period since the global coronavirus outbreak began.

Border officials identified the 328 Chinese nationals among those apprehended and sent to wait on the Mexican side of the U.S. southern border so far this year. Officials told the Washington Examiner those efforts to apprehend Chinese nationals illegally crossing the border have been an extension of U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) heightened awareness of the spread of coronavirus.

Three South Korean nationals have also been stopped in illegal crossing attempts so far this year.

Thus far, 227 foreign nationals who have tried to enter through legal points of entry between Feb. 2 and March 3 have also been turned away by border agents after President Donald Trump imposed new travel restrictions related to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. Among those stopped while trying to pass through a legal port of entry, 90 Chinese nationals were stopped.

According to the Washington Examiner, officials within the Trump administration have credited Trump’s recent coronavirus-related travel restrictions, as well as his overall focus on border security throughout his presidency, as having helped stop the potential spread of the coronavirus through the southern border.

Does Big Tech Really Have The Power To Unseat Donald Trump?

Dr. Robert Epstein, a Democrat, has been writing that Big Tech will make it impossible for Trump to be re-elected in 2020. He misses the point that Big Tech are Technocrats intending to completely dominate society, everywhere. ⁃ TN Editor

When it comes to election manipulation, left-leaning American technology companies make the Russians look like rank amateurs.

No matter which weak candidate the Democrats ultimately nominate, and even with Russia’s help, President Donald Trump can’t win the 2020 election. For that matter, in races nationwide in which the projected winning margins are small—say, under 5 percent or so—Republicans, in general, are likely to lose.

That’s because of new forces of influence that the internet has made possible in recent decades and that Big Tech companies—Google more aggressively than any other—have been determined to perfect since Armageddon Day—oh, sorry, Election Day—in 2016.

Household chemical use linked to child language delays

Children in low-income homes at risk, study finds

Ohio State University

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Young children from low-income homes whose mothers reported frequent use of toxic chemicals such as household cleaners were more likely to show delays in language development by age 2, a new study found.

In addition, the children scored lower on a test of cognitive development. These developmental delays were evident even when the researchers took into account factors such as the education and income of mothers, which are also linked to their children's language and cognitive skills.

The findings provide additional evidence of the need for pediatricians and other health care providers to counsel parents of young children to restrict their use of toxic household chemicals, said Hui Jiang, lead author of the study and senior research associate at The Ohio State University.

"We found that a significant percentage of mothers with young children may commonly expose their children to toxic household chemicals, possibly because they are unaware that such materials may be harmful," said Jiang, who is with Ohio State's Crane Center for Early Childhood Research and Policy.

The study was published online recently in the journal Clinical Pediatrics.
