Research General typically adheres to the motto above. When other topics have historically arisen, which seem to generate a lot of posts and are sustained, new boards have been created as to not dilute the overall mission in the General Breads. IMHO, all discussions should be posted there and not here, exceptions being official releases from the administration, POTUS tweets etc., i.e. high level official statements. The overall (not all) consensus here has been that the media is overhyping, publishing mis/dis information, rumors, etc. in an effort to use the news to make the administration look bad. Some celebrity self quarantining or having the virus is not a notable. Nor are the vast amount of news articles which provide no new real information that the above official statements provide.
Tl;dr: covid19 discussion should be in the bread created for it and not here. There should be no covid19 notables here other than current official releases from the administration.
