That glass does not have a stem. What you see there is the reflection of the bottom of the glass on the polished stone. Sheesh.
Yeah, because it's sitting on the plates edge. Look at the water level in relation to the top of the glass. Lower on the left, higher on the right. The glass is tilted because it's sitting on the edge of the plate.
