Yes, there really is a Saint Corona who is one of the patron saints of epidemics.
I felt that some of the St. Corona sources were less than solid, so I did some digging. She actually is in the Acta Sanctorum, a Latin book that contains biographies of the saints that is as definitive a source as possible. The Acta Sanctorum would be the official source for much shorter books like The Lives of The Saints. The book, which contains dozens of volumes, is organized by the saints' feast days so I found the entry under May 14. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a free English translation and Google Translate did a horrible job although it did allow the jist of the story to come through. As best as I can tell, she is the patron of treasure/money/currency as well as the patron saint for protection against epidemics/pandemics/plagues.
