Global Elites Flee Chinese Coronavirus Threat on Private Jets

As the commercial airline industry grounds itself and travel restrictions bite in the face of the Chinese coronavirus pandemic, the private jet alternative is thriving thanks to the insatiable demands of the wealthy and the well-connected.

According to AFP, the demand from the super rich has never been stronger. Richard Zaher, CEO of a U.S.-based private jet charter company, told the news service emails and phone calls just keep coming.

“Inquiries have gone through the roof,” he told AFP, noting his company Paramount Business Jets had seen a 400 percent increase in queries, with bookings up roughly 20-25 percent.

“It is completely coronavirus,” he added.

“We are seeing our regular private jet clients flying as they normally do. However, we have this surge of clients coming our way and the majority of them have never flown private.”

The reason for the demand is explained by the fact private flyers do not want to be confined with hundreds of people with “unknown” travel histories.

Private passengers also clear customs and immigration separate from crowded main airport terminals, allowing them to move freely whether it be on a holiday trip or heading to a conference in distant places:

A spokeswoman for Air Charter Service in Hong Kong told AFP they had seen a 70 percent increase in fixed bookings from the financial hub, Shanghai, and Beijing in January and February, and had recorded a 170 percent jump in new customers during the same period.

“It is the kind of people who are wealthy enough but who would not necessarily charter, who are maybe chartering as a one-off,” said James Royds-Jones, Air Charter Service’s director of executive jets for Asia Pacific.

One recent booking involved a family moving from Hong Kong to the Thai city of Chiang Mai.

“People are just trying to almost pack their house into a private jet,” he said. “Also relocating, I guess the one good thing about the private jet side of things… you can have your pets with you.”

The Financial Times also records a surge in global bookings for private jet facilities, reporting Hong Kong international airport alone had its busiest day for private jet activity on record this week as wealthy residents of the territory and Chinese citizens rush back to the city before authorities imposed strict quarantine measures on new arrivals.

The airport was close to its maximum capacity of 30 private jets on Wednesday and the Hong Kong Business Aviation Centre added landings and take-offs had reached their highest level.

ICE Reduces Arrests of Illegal Aliens amid Wuhan Fears

The nation’s immigration enforcement agency is reducing its arrests of illegal migrants amid growing fears of a coronavirus outbreak in federal detention centers.

“ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) will focus enforcement on public safety risks and individuals subject to mandatory detention based on criminal grounds,” said a press statement issued on March 18. “For those individuals who do not fall into those categories, ERO will exercise discretion to delay enforcement actions until after the crisis or utilize alternatives to detention, as appropriate.”

“This is a return to ‘felons, not families,'” which was the policy adopted by President Barack Obama, said Aaron Reichlin-Melnick, a pro-migration advocate at the American Immigration Council. “Though I strongly suspect ICE will not revert to the prosecutorial discretion policies of the Obama administration and that this will primarily impact who is targeted for arrest,” he added.

Up to 50,000 recent migrants and violent illegal migrants are already detained in centers around the nation. Federal courtrooms remain open while their deportation cases are being processed, according to pro-migration lawyers.

The statement was released after President Donald Trump said he would block additional visitors, migrants, and asylum seekers at the southern and northern borders. The statement, however, did not say if the United States has permission from Mexico’s government to return migrants from Mexico back into Mexico after they are caught at the border.

White-collar immigration lawyers and pro-migration groups are still demanding that Trump admit the roughly 30,000 migrants who have been sent back to Mexico before their asylum hearings in the United States.

The large population of illegal residents in the United States reduces wages for blue-collar Americans — especially amid the economic crash spurred by migrants from China.

The ICE statement continued:

Homeland Security Investigations will continue to carry out mission critical criminal investigations and enforcement operations as determined necessary to maintain public safety and national security. Examples include investigations into child exploitation, gangs, narcotics trafficking, human trafficking, human smuggling, and continued participation on the Joint Terrorism Task Force. This work will be conducted based on ability to coordinate and work with prosecutors from the Department of Justice and intake at both the U.S. Marshals Service and Bureau of Prisons.

—The statement also said that ICE would not arrest migrants who are seeking medical care because of China’s disease:

—Consistent with its sensitive locations policy, during the COVID-19 crisis, ICE will not carry out enforcement operations at or near health care facilities, such as hospitals, doctors’ offices, accredited health clinics, and emergent or urgent care facilities, except in the most extraordinary of circumstances. Individuals should not avoid seeking medical care because they fear civil immigration enforcement.

—Numerous cities and countries have begun releasing American criminals to reduce the risk of disease outbreaks. It is not clear what the released criminals will do to earn a living.

6.3M Noncitizens Entered U.S. at Northern Border Before Canada’s National Lockdown

This pisses me off because Trudeau as of last week refused to close down the country to any foreign country that bring the highest risk. So we shut our borders to Asian countries and Iran but Canada did not!

Nearly 6.3 million noncitizens were granted admission to the United States in the last two and a half months by air, land, and sea at ports of entry along the northern border before Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau issued a national lockdown.

On March 16, Trudeau said he would be shutting down Canada’s borders to noncitizens with exemptions for permanent Canadian residents, diplomats, aircrews, and American citizens. Before the announcement, Trudeau had not issued a single travel ban — not even for China, Iran, South Korea, or Italy.

Federal data obtained by Breitbart News finds that between January 1 and March 15, a total of 6,275,009 noncitizens were granted admission to the U.S. from Canada. The overwhelming majority, 6,254,052 noncitizens, arrived via land, while 16,420 arrived at sea and 4,537 via air travel.

These noncitizens include the millions of Canadians who are admitted to the U.S. on a daily basis for nonimmigrant, temporary purposes and not to permanently resettle.

These admissions are in addition to the nearly 10,400 northern border crossers encountered by Border Patrol in January and February, as Breitbart News reported.

The number of apprehensions and admissions come as President Trump has announced that he will close the northern border to non-essential travel — effectively shutting off entry to foreign nationals living in Canada.

The nation’s leading medical experts have routinely said that border and immigration controls are necessary to stop the growing outbreak of the coronavirus in the U.S. Last week, experts said 30 states had seen coronavirus outbreaks specifically because of travel to the U.S. from Europe.

Justin Trudeau and the Liberal government have decided to put their political ideology ahead of the health and safety of the Canadian People.

As the coronavirus spreads, you notice what’s happening:

Justin Trudeau’s response is among the weakest, if not the weakest, in the world when it comes to defending the health and safety of the Canadian People.

While countries around the world shut their borders to Coronavirus hot-zones, Trudeau refuses to do so, and is now even doubling down on his “let everybody in” approach.

Here’s what the pro-Trudeau Toronto Star reported:

“Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says knee-jerk reactions to the novel coronavirus will not keep people safe, as he defended Canada’s decision not to close its borders to foreign nationals coming from regions where the outbreak is spreading.

Misinformation being spread about the virus, which can cause a respiratory disease known as COVID-19, is having negative impacts on some communities’ ability to keep their populations safe, Trudeau warned Thursday while speaking to reporters in Toronto.

“We’re going to stay focused on doing the things that actually matter: on empowering Canadians to make the right decisions for their own health, for their families’ health, listening to experts, working to co-ordinate with health authorities across the country, including in all provinces and territories and ensuring that our response is active and up to date every step of the way.””

The report goes on to say, “Australia has banned travellers from South Korea who aren’t Australian citizens or permanent residents, following similar bans for China and Iran. Trudeau says other countries have a right to make different decisions in dealing with this outbreak, but Canada is taking its lead from the World Health Organization and other health experts here and abroad.”

First of all, Canada shouldn’t be “taking the lead” of the WHO. Our own government should be leading. And the WHO is severely compromised, facing more and more criticism for doing the bidding of China, rather than actually leading a strong response.

The fact is, Justin Trudeau is doing less than almost every other country when it comes to protecting Citizens.

The US imposed tough travel restrictions, the UK imposed restrictions, as we read above Australia has imposed restrictions. Israel is restricting travel from almost all of Europe. And almost every country in the world has taken tougher measures than Canada.

Justin Trudeau and the Liberals are putting their own ideology ahead of the health and safety of Canadians, and this is putting the lives of more Canadians at risk.

REPORT: Liberal Government Leaving Roxham Road Border Open To Illegal Crossers, Contradicting Trudeau’s Previous Claims

Trudeau has said that the only exceptions to the border closure would be Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents, US Citizens, Diplomats, and Commerce. Now, the Liberals are adding illegal crossers to that list.

Yesterday, Justin said the Canadian border would be closed to all, except for the following:

Canadian Citizens.

Permanent Residents.

US Citizens.

Diplomats.

Commerce – Trucks, Essential Workers, etc.

But now, we can add another group to the list:

Illegal border crossers.

“During the news conference @BillBlair confirmed that the illegal border crossing at Roxham Road is and will remain open despite the government saying the borders are closed to all foreign nationals except Americans. And apparently anyone who can get there.”

According to a Global News report, the illegal crossers will be allowed into Canada, undergoing 24-hour screening:

“Canadian Minister of Public Safety Bill Blair said Tuesday that in an attempt to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus, those crossing the border irregularly will still be allowed into Canada, but will be subject to medical screening and housed in quarantine when necessary.

Speaking at a press conference, Blair told reporters that those found crossing the border would be immediately taken into custody, and undergo a 24-hour screening process.”

Note, the Liberals previously claimed screening was in place at airports, something which was revealed as a lie.

So, with the border remaining open for illegal crossers, many Canadians will only believe anything about ‘screening’ when there’s actual proof, not words.

Once again, at a time when locked-down borders and honest government statements are required, the Liberals deliver the opposite.

And as a result, some of the precious resources that are supposed to be going to saving the lives of Canadian Citizens, will instead be going to those violating our laws and entering Canada illegally.

It’s a disgrace.

Trudeau could let China access Canadian military secrets and hacking defences

Justin Trudeau seems to love anything that has to do with China. During his campaign, he said he “admired China’s basic dictatorship,” showing his profound disregard for human rights, democracy, and individual freedom.

As time goes on, it’s clear that his comments weren’t a campaign gaffe. They represented his real thoughts.

His push for a free trade deal with China would absolutely devastate our middle class, but it would benefit the billionaires from China who have been lobbying Trudeau.

Now, Trudeau is looking to let a Chinese company take over a firm that has deep connections with our national defence and national security.

Under the previous government, Hong Kong based O-Net Communications tried to initiate a takeover of ITF Technologies based in Montreal.

However, ITF Technologies had worked with Canada’s national security apparatus on a research project, and sold equipment to Canada’s National Defence Department.

At the time, the government stopped the deal, considering it “injurious to national security.”

Blocking the deal was a common sense move. One little-known issue with investment from China is that it is one-sided. Whereas Canada lets someone from China or any other country fully invest in and even take ownership of a Canadian business, if someone from Canada – or any other country – wants to invest in a Chinese business, they have to do so alongside a Chinese investor.

This means China always ensures a citizen retains control of their companies.

I don’t blame China for that. It’s actually a good policy – allowing some foreign investment while still keeping a citizen in control.

But we also have to remember that China is not a democratic nation, and they do not play by the same rules we do.

Any company based in China is subject to state control and direct intervention. China steals intellectual property and hacks foreign governments – even stealing the F-35 plans from the Pentagon.

Two GOP Senators May Destroy The Deep State’s Spy Powers Used Against 2016 Trump Campaign

Senators Rand Paul and Mike Lee have been making efforts to sink a surveillance deal the House passed.

The two GOP senators were victorious in forcing the expiration of three surveillance programs, which includes the controversial Section 215.

Now, the Senators are attempting to get President Trump to nix the recently passed House bill.

This bill is tied to a reauthorization of the three expiring provisions of the USA Freedom Act, a 2015 law which reformed the country’s intelligence programs. Some changes were made to a surveillance court as well.

“The House bill, with no amendments, is completely unacceptable, an affront to any of us who were ever concerned about FISA abuse,” Paul commented, making reference to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance, or FISA, Court.

In the meantime, Lee delivered a lengthy speech, where he criticized the House measure, citing President Trump’s concerns.

“He still has concerns with FISA and that many senators are pointing out the flaws in the reforms package,” Lee stated. “If the president of the United States himself has reason to be concerned about FISA, what about the rest of Americans?”

The House passed its bill on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 in a 278-136 vote.

The bill would extend two USA Freedom Act provisions connected to “roving” wiretaps, allowing law enforcement to track an individual across devices, and lone wolf terrorists inspired by other terrorist organizations that they are not members of.

The bill would scrap a controversial call records program but reforms and reauthorizes other parts of Section 215, which gives the government the power to request “tangible things” that pertain to a national security investigation.

However, opponents like Paul and Lee argue that the bill does not go far enough to reform the FISA Court.

Republicans have had growing skepticism of the surveillance court after Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz discovered 17 significant inaccuracies and omissions in the warrant applications that were used to target Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

The two Senators should continue pushing the envelope on the issue of FISA.

America’s surveillance state is deeply entrenched and any efforts to expose its abuses are welcome.
