reposting from late last bread
Ive been monitoring the "official" numbers of COVID-19 in canada via the government website.
https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/diseases/2019-novel-coronavirus-infection.html
cases arent that high, but a few things stick out to me. the number of confirmed cases have nearly trippled since sunday. BC and ON have the most cases and have been increasing by double digits daily. but they have not been reporting any "probable cases" at all. this tells me that they have not been tracking the spread from confirmed cases. if they were, they would almost undoubtedly be finding people who have traveled, or been exposed to confirmed cases, and are showing symptoms. but they arent reporting that at all. the data indicates that all the new cases are previously unknown to officials and have received positive tests after becoming symptomatic and seeking treatment. this means that those cases have been spreading it for up to 3 weeks while they were asymptomatic and officials are not tracking their movements. canada has been letting anyone into the country till just days ago, only screening people and telling them to go home and self isolate if they are not showing symptoms. which many people would not bother to do. i expect the numbers in canada to start skyrocketing soon as 2nd and 3rd generation infections become symptomatic.
people started panic buying a week ago in my town of 10k people and i still cant find TP. 2 stores i went to today were putting away orders, told me they ordered TP but that it didnt arrive. this means that suppliers are out, not just retailers. other items were also difficult to find. its only a matter of time before suppliers run out of other items as well. hold on to your asses syrupfags.
