Recommend also various high Vitamin C berries that can be grown as bushes: Elderberries, gooseberries and currants (red, yellow or black). You can get seeds from Burgess or whatever company sells as you local home improvement store (or online even)

Benefits are - high source of vitamin C and others, readily available for pies, jams or even dehydrating them for later (great in oatmeal).

These things are easy and relatively carefree, keep growing year after year (berries produces usually 2nd or 3rd year from seed).
