WRONG.
The prescription chloroquine DOES WORK. Its not the same as the aquarium cleaner.
Look, they sent both hydroxycholoroquine and chloroquine to NY. They both work. It's said that the hydroxy is a little better, because they can give more of the hydroxy before side effects start showing up. They very similar, the hydroxy is a little bit newer (both are very old) and a little bit safer.
You can read on pubmed 15 year old studies showing the effectiveness of these Q drugs on SARS. This CoV is just a new type of SARS.
Where was the FDA in the last 15 years?
What we should know is that it's the job of the FDA to fight hard against anything that did not spend 10s or 100s of Millions $$$ on testing and lengthy human trials.
If someone is natural, and works perfectly, the FDA will SHUT IT DOWN, because there are no tests.
If you can't make enough money to recoup 10s or 100s of Millions, you aren't spending that money on testing. If it's not something that you can patent, everyone can sell that natural product, and they didn't have to spend money on tests.
Over and over you see on Pubmed, natural products (or generic drugs like HCQ and CQ) with great results, and the FDA will not allow those things to be advertised for what they can do, unless there are 10+ Millions spend on testing.
Our laws are shit in the USA.
Either 1) Fed Gov spends the money on testing. or 2) there's a new category - "might work" things that are generally recognized as safe, and things that seem to provide benefits. And there could be some sort of "might work" logo, so that things that are safe and show benefits like "mice with tumors given baking soda live 2x as long as the no baking soda mice" can put "cures cancer maybe" on the box.
Basically what Trump is doing is saying "fuck the FDA" and Trump is right.
FDA approval doesn't make anything more effective. The effectiveness is either there or it is not there, inherent in the thing itself, not reliant at all on the FDA.
