Ranking Social Distancing
We used to call it 'personal space', that area surrounding another that one just naturally strives to avoid. That, 'stay out of my face' space we will rank as number one in this analysis of social distancing. What we stayed out of, that was the primitive concern, not so long ago.
Rank two: is a quandary. Should we list 'at arms length', roughly 30 to 40 inches. Some would but that at the outer edge of personal space, above, yet is that not beyond typical range of 'personal space.' Yes, I believe it is, so we will leave this at rank two. Practically speaking, this is most useful when fist may start to fly.
Rank three: Personally, I would call this one spitting distance, far enough back to stay out of range of the occasional spit that might fly in heated or impassioned discourse. All such measuring must be roughly estimated but for most I would put this in the range of 3 to 6 feet.
Rank four: Search distancing, this occurs in a line-up designed to search a designated area. Individuals space out at the distance of out stretched arms, roughly 60 to 80 inches.
Rank five: 15 day and/or now the 30 day 'social distance.' 72 inches or 6 feet is considered the minimal but certainly more is considered better.
Rank six: CNN distancing, this is the distance between your clicker and your screen in which you navigate separation from CNN as it goes down the tube. I'll rough this in between 7 and 12 feet. Q certainly forecasted this turn and POTUS has relentlessly drilled this into every American's heart. They have been very successful. This too might be called the Pelosi, Schumer or Biden rule.
Rank seven: Working distance, this becomes intuitive for most of us scarcely realizing we oblige. This is the distance yielded to someone laboring at an obvious task, a significant enlargement of Rank one, personal space. Swinging a hammer, moving boxes, hang of light, we yield space to workers. This could go as short as 6 ft but more times than not ranges between 10 to 20 feet. Yes this seems an insignificant rank, until little children come to close. Then it is vigorously voiced as the 'stay-back' rule.
Rank eight: the outlandish sneeze distancing, recorded and reported at 27 feet recently. Some would seek to replace the 6 feet 'social distancing', Rank five above, with this new 27 feet rule. Most would agree, 'That is something to sneeze at.'

Rank nine: Yelling or sight distancing. Sight may be the longer but it presumes clear space that may be restricted in an urban or big city setting. We'll rough and average this out to 50 yards considering kids with weak voices and adults with bad eyesight.
Rank ten: Dinner bell distance. Something between half a mile to a mile.
Rank eleven: Royal Distancing, Where as this used to be the distance between England and Paris, more recently it is the distance between England and far Canada, or maybe California.
Rank twelve: Travel ban distancing, this is the ultimate in social distancing as on January 31 POTUS put the biggest ocean between America and the Virus saving countless innocent lives. It is good to ask, 'What did POTUS know then that we are yet to know now?' Conversely this one might be called the 'One Mouth Rule' or the 'slave rule' as our Dems and MSM parrot China's dictates. 'Clueless', 'brainless' also works.
Rank thirteen: Q distancing, spanning the total globe, 'heard around the world' common too. Perhaps in a more restrictive sense a '40,000 foot view' by a 'stealth bomber' racing off to the furthest horizon.
Social distancing is all about what we make it and how we use what we got. Keep the faith, hold the calm, this too shall pass.
