LONG BRANCH - The death of June Huhn, wife of former Long Branch mayor Philip D. Huhn, has been ruled a suicide.

Authorities were called early Friday morning to the couple’s home on Norwood Avenue, where they found the 73-year-old woman with a fatal gunshot wound to the chest. Initially, her death was being investigated as a homicide.

KABUL, Afghanistan — The head of the Islamic State group’s Afghanistan affiliate has been arrested along with 19 other militants, Afghan officials said Saturday.

Abdullah Orakzai, who goes by Aslam Farooqi, was detained by forces from the National Directorate of Security, the country’s main intelligence agency said in a statement.
