The number of Covid-19 patients brought on board the hospital ship was estimated to be “less than five,” one official said.

The patients were transferred sometime Friday, according to the officials. At the time the patients were transferred to the hospital ship Comfort, the initial screening did not indicate they were positive, officials said.

 

The hospital ship is located on Pier 90 on Manhattan’s west side and arrived in New York Monday. The vessel has a “couple dozen” patients on board right now, according to chief Pentagon spokesman Jonathan Hoffman.

 

Part of the protocol before receiving patients onboard Comfort is for a coronavirus test to be performed. The swab test came back hours later, but not before the patients had spent a night onboard the vessel, which is only supposed to treat trauma patients, not Covid-19 positive patients.

 

About a dozen patients from the Javits Center in midtown Manhattan were transferred to the hospital ship Comfort Friday after President Trump approved New York Gov. Cuomo’s request to have Covid-19 patients treated at the Javits Center Thursday.

 

All the patients at Javits Center were then transferred to the hospital ship a short distance away where they were isolated and tested for the novel coronavirus.

 

Up to the point of embarking aboard the hospital ship, the patients had only filled out a questionnaire and had their temperature taken as part of an initial screening process. It’s been reported that half of people infected with coronavirus show no symptoms, according to the latest data.

Features

Many modifications have been made to the aircraft. These include enhanced navigation systems, self-protection equipment, air refueling and the capability of broadcasting analog radio (FM) and analog color TV on all worldwide standards.

 

Background

The airborne radio and television broadcast mission originated in the mid-1960s with the EC-121 (known as Coronet Solo). The mission later transitioned to the EC-130E (1980) and eventually to the EC-130J (2004). Soon after the 193rd SOW received EC-130s, the Air National Guard unit participated in the rescue of American citizens in Operation Urgent Fury in 1983. Then known as Volant Solo, the aircraft acted as an airborne radio station, keeping the citizens of Grenada informed about U.S. military action. Several years later in 1989, Volant Solo was instrumental in the success of coordinated psychological operations in Operation Just Cause. During this mission, it broadcasted throughout the initial phases of the operation, helping to end the Noriega regime.

 

In 1990, the 193rd joined the newly formed Air Force Special Operations Command, and the wing's aircraft were redesignated Commando Solo, with no change in mission. In 1990-91, Commando Solo was deployed to Saudi Arabia and Turkey in support of operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Its missions included broadcasting the "Voice of the Gulf" and other highly successful programs intended to convince Iraqi soldiers to surrender.

 

In 1994, Commando Solo was used to broadcast radio and TV messages to the citizens and leaders of Haiti during Operation Uphold Democracy. President Jean-Bertrand Aristide was featured in these broadcasts, which contributed to the orderly transition from military rule to democracy.

 

Continuing its tradition, in 1997 the Commando Solo supported the U.N. Operation Joint Guard with radio and TV broadcasts over Bosnia-Herzegovina in support of stabilization forces operations. In 1998, the unit and its aircraft participated in Operation Desert Thunder, a deployment to Southwest Asia to convince Iraq to comply with U.N. Security Council resolutions. The Commando Solo was again sent into action in 1999 in support of Operation Allied Force. The aircraft was tasked to broadcast radio and television into Kosovo to prevent ethnic cleansing and assist in the expulsion of the Serbs from the region. In 2001, these aircraft broadcasted messages to the local Afghan population and Taliban soldiers during Operation Enduring Freedom.

 

In 2003, the Commando Solo was deployed to the Middle East in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The unit has also deployed in 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015 to the Middle East in support of overseas contingency operations.

When people think about U.S. Army equipment, what probably comes to mind are tanks, gunship helicopters, self-propelled artillery, and other larger advanced weapons — all great for blowing things up. However, American troops often rely on a very different gear to both confuse and demoralize enemy troops and “win the hearts and minds” of civilians on and around the battlefield.

 

Thanks to an unclassified 2005 training aid, Task & Purpose is able to highlight the unique equipment military personnel bring on these psychological operations, or PSYOPS. As of 2017, Army Special Operations Command oversees all active PSYOPS troops, though some units are attached to the Army Reserve.

 

According to the unclassified PSYOPS training manual Task & Purpose obtained under the Freedom of Information Act, these troops employ everything from printed messages to radio programs to television shows to “create a behavior that supports the United States” and promote American military objectives, as the manual puts it. Elite troops have their own Special Operations Media Systems-B that combines both radio and television studio functions in a suite of relatively mobile equipment.

 

Four Humvees and two trailers can hold all the various pieces of the Mobile Radio Broadcast System and the Mobile Television Broadcast System. Special operators can deploy the two components wherever commanders might need them with the help of U.S. Air Force C-130 and C-17 aircraft, according to the guide.

 

The radio station portion produces, records, and transmits the alerts all by itself, according to the Army guide. While the mobile television production center does the same for audio-visual messages, it also has extra cameras, lights and other gear so specialized soldiers have the option of creating their own news reports from the field.

 

When American special operators arrived in Afghanistan after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, they brought the SOMS-B with them. By 2002, the U.S. military was broadcast radio programming in local languages, such as Pashtu and Dari, 24 hours a day as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.

 

To make sure messages went out around the clock, the PSYOPS soldiers on the ground got help from the Air Force’s EC-130J Commando Solo planes — noted in the Army’s training manual under “sister service capabilities.” These heavily modified C-130 cargo planes beam down radio and television signals from a unique, in-flight studio.

 

The Afghans loved the American-supplied news and other alerts, mostly because “they broadcast music and for almost everyone,” according to Weapon of Choice: U.S. Army Special Operations Forces in Afghanistan, a book published by the Army. For six years, the Taliban had banned radio stations from playing popular tunes and local folk songs.

 

The Army handbook points out SOMS-B has the ability to record content on CDs or tapes so troops can distribute it to friendly broadcasters. In 2016, American crews were dropping leaflets encouraging locals in northern Syria to tune in to FM 99.1. This is the frequency for Radio Rozana, a pirate radio station independent journalists run as an alternative to official Syrian government outlets.

 

In addition to the smaller down-range setups, the Army has larger production facilities situated at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, as well as the large but deployable Theater Media Production Center, or TMPC. Compared to the SOMS-B, this four-part system cranks out longer and more complex audio and video materials in both digital and physical formats, including CDs or even older cassette tapes.

 

The mobile unit also has scanners and high-resolution printers to make copies of photographs and printed messages. Another limitation of the smaller SOMS-B is that troops cannot produce substantial numbers of printed PSYOPS messages.

 

As of 2005, the 3rd Psychological Operations Battalion owned the Army’s sole TMPC system. But PSYOPS soldiers need permission from president or the secretary of defense to roll it out, according to the Army manual, and we could find no open reports of its deployment.

We have all experienced this to some degree. Autists have more flexibility to adapt and consider alternative concepts and reprogram their belief system, but we too have felt threatened by uncomfortable info that we have to evaluate and decide whether to believe or disbelieve.

That's why Q told us to protect and comfort those around us. They will be experiencing a lot of psychological discomfort as disturbing info comes out. We've been there, we understand, and our role is cut out for us.

Primary infection with HHV-6B causes roseola infantum or exanthem subitum, a common childhood disease that resolves spontaneously. After primary infection, the virus replicates in the salivary glands and is shed in saliva, the recognized route of transmission for variant B strains; it remains latent in lymphocytes and monocytes and persists at low levels in cells and tissues. Not usually associated with disease in the immunocompetent, HHV-6 infection is a major cause of opportunistic viral infections in the immunosuppressed, typically AIDS patients and transplant recipients, in whom HHV-6 infection/reactivation may culminate in rejection of transplanted organs and death. Other opportunistic viruses, human cytomegalovirus and HHV-7, also infect or reactivate in persons at risk. Another disease whose pathogenesis may be correlated with HHV-6 is multiple sclerosis. Data in favor of and against the correlation are discussed.

The Discovery of Human Herpesvirus 6 (HHV-6)

 

Initially designated HBLV, for human B-lymphotropic virus, HHV-6 was isolated fortuitously in 1986 from interleukin 2-stimulated peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) of patients with AIDS or lymphoproliferative disorders (1). The PBMC cultures exhibited an unusual cytopathic effect characterized by enlarged balloonlike cells. The causative agent was identified as a herpesvirus by electron microscopy and lack of cross-hybridization to a number of human herpesviruses (2). The GS strain is the prototype of the first isolates. Two additional isolates of lymphotropic human herpesviruses, U1102 and Gambian, genetically similar to HBLV, were obtained 1 year later from PBMCs of African AIDS patients. All of the isolates could grow in T cells (CEM, H9, Jurkat), in monocytes (HL60, U937), in glial cells (HED), as well as in B-cell lines (Raji, RAMOS, L4, WHPT) (3,4). A new variant, Z29, subsequently shown to differ in restriction endonuclease pattern from GS-like strains, was isolated from PBMCs of patients with AIDS (5). The cells supporting virus growth were characterized as CD4+ T lymphocytes (6). The designation HHV-6 was proposed 1 year after discovery of the first isolate to comply with the rules established by the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses (7).

 

More than 100 additional HHV-6 strains have been isolated from PBMCs of children with subitum or febrile syndromes (8), from cell-free saliva of healthy or HIV-infected patients (9,10), from PBMCs of patients with chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) (11), and from PBMCs of healthy adults—these PBMCs were cultivated for human herpesvirus 7 (HHV-7) isolation (12).

WHAT AREAS ARE EXPERIENCING THE MOST DRAMATIC GAS PRICE DROPS AND WHY?

 

In every city, in every town, gas prices have been dropping across the country since mid-February because crude oil prices have plummeted along with gasoline demand, paving the way for much lower prices. However, some regions are seeing sharper declines than others…for now.

 

The top 25 states that saw the larger drops compared to a month ago:

 

Since the current situation is due to the price of crude oil and overall drop in demand, the assumption is that prices across the board would fall at similar rates. So, what gives?

 

IT’S A MARATHON, NOT A SPRINT

Think of the drop in gas prices as a marathon. We’ve been seeing the drop for weeks now, and some areas that have fallen faster than others are “ahead” in the “race”. Those areas will slow down eventually while the other higher price areas will soon play catch up. The finish line is going to be very similar for everyone, but some will get there before others.

 

IT’S COMPLICATED

There are various factors that go into determining gas prices: 1) price of crude oil, 2) individual state taxes, and 3) proximity of the gas station to supply sources, like refineries and pipelines. 4) perhaps the largest factor (and a very loaded word), competition.

 

Competition sounds simple but is the most complicated of these factors. How many stations are nearby, how much gasoline they sell (are you in a small town or large), average incomes, traffic counts, who the stations buy from, their strategy, are all different from one another. Some stations may drop prices faster to try and “steal” traffic from filling up at the competition, which could turn into a price war.

 

These factors are very uneven and that’s why Wautoma, Wis. shocked the nation last week becoming one of the first states to sell gasoline at 99c/gal and stay there. There’s not much rhyme or reason.

 

THE MIDWEST

Notice that all but two states in the top 10 spots are located in the Midwest. This region, specifically the Great Lakes, has the most gas stations with the most variety of brands. In fact every single midwestern state makes the top 25. The Great Lakes often sees prices move quickly in both directions, up and down, and is a bellwether for the rest of the nation’s stations and where they will be going. For whatever reason, stations in these states tend to be very competitive and fast to pass along price changes.

 

To further prove the point about competition, the states that saw the smallest declines are Utah, 17c; Hawaii, 21c; Idaho, 23c; Arizona, 25c; and Wyoming, 28c.

 

THE WEST COAST

Important to note that states along the West Coast or in New England are further away from supply sources, which slows down price fluctuation. Notice that most of the West and Northeast Region states are not on the list above.

 

The West Coast has a unique disadvantage that keeps prices higher typically, and making any big drops much longer to catch up. The disadvantage: The West Coast is isolated from the rest of the country when it comes to oil and refinery flow. If a refinery problem happens, there is no quick ability for refineries elsewhere to send them gasoline. Most of the rest of the country has that level of interconnectedness that prevents such high prices.

 

In addition, California has the nation’s most stringent gasoline requirements, gasoline taxes, and carbon emissions rules that lead to the nation’s highest prices.

 

THE GOOD NEWS

Even the West Coast will see prices fall, and perhaps more so than anyone else over the next 4-6 weeks.

Over the years I have watched many boards be compromised and taken out.

 

Same techniques are being applied here. No use listing them; they are well-known to any patriot anon who has been around for some time.

 

It's a difficult problem as our adversaries still have a lot more resources than we do and they are willing to crank it up to murdering people (rarely necessary, credible threats against loved ones usually being enough) which we are not.

I wrote the script, and will try to help…worst case scenario, you can call the youtube-dl & manually pass in parameters.. my script just automates things so I can read from a list & go crazy. The documents are pretty clear and it would only take a few hours to fine tune it if the defaults need changing ( get video thumb, description, json, etc ). It pulls best video by default, so only thing you REALLY need is the switches for CHANNEL ALL, and Playlist ALL…

settings

Most of the settings never change, so you can write simple win scripts for 3 scenarios:

1 - single download from URL

2 - entire playlist from URL ← playlist link or any URL that has and index in the URL

3 - entire channel from URL ← channel's main page

 

you can hardcode most of the settings, and just pass in the URL with %%1 if I recall

 

For Windows: get CMDER ( a virtual bash shell ) - it has an interpreter

……After a review of 29 FISA applications, from eight FBI field offices, the OIG informed the FBI and DOJ that none of the surveillance applications were compliant with the Woods procedures. Meaning zero applications had FBI evidence to support the validity of the claims within the FISA warrants. That’s a very big problem if those FISA warrants were used to gather evidence used to prosecute the 29 targets of the applications.

Even if this data is correct, which you and I can't verify, I already said that we have only a few patients a week ago and now we got way more. I don't want to know how many patients will be in next week.

 

If I was at work, I could check how many people died of pneumonia last year and how many died this year.

 

In any case in the end it's irrelevant. There is a disease. People actually can't breathe. We are running out of breathing machines. We got almost no HCQ, and it's off label anyway. Add 1+1 together and maybe you will figure it out.

Former British Supreme Court Justice: "This Is What A Police-State Is Like"

 

he former Supreme Court Justice Jonathan Sumption, QC, has denounced the police response to the coronavirus, saying the country is suffering 'collective hysteria'.

 

This is an edited transcript of his interview with BBC Radio 4's World at One programme earlier today.

'A hysterical slide into a police state. A shameful police force intruding with scant regard to common sense or tradition. An irrational overreaction driven by fear.' These are not the accusations of wild-eyed campaigners, they come from the lips of one our most eminent jurists Lord Sumption, former Justice of the Supreme Court. I spoke to him just before we came on air.

 

Lord Sumption

 

The real problem is that when human societies lose their freedom, it's not usually because tyrants have taken it away. It's usually because people willingly surrender their freedom in return for protection against some external threat. And the threat is usually a real threat but usually exaggerated. That's what I fear we are seeing now. The pressure on politicians has come from the public. They want action. They don't pause to ask whether the action will work. They don't ask themselves whether the cost will be worth paying.

 

They want action anyway. And anyone who has studied history will recognise here the classic symptoms of collective hysteria. Hysteria is infectious. We are working ourselves up into a lather in which we exaggerate the threat and stop asking ourselves whether the cure may be worse than the disease.

 

Dymond

 

At a time like this, as you acknowledge, citizens do look to the state for protection, for assistance, we shouldn't be surprised then if the state takes on new powers if it responds. That is what it has been asked to do, almost demanded of it.

 

Sumption

 

Yes that is absolutely true. We should not be surprised. But we have to recognise that this is how societies become despotisms. And we also have to recognise this is a process which leads naturally to exaggeration. The symptoms of coronavirus are clearly serious for those with other significant medical conditions, especially if they're old. There are exceptional cases in which young people have been struck down, which have had a lot of publicity, but the numbers are pretty small. The Italian evidence, for instance, suggests that only in 12 per cent of deaths is it possible to say coronavirus was the main cause of death. So yes this is serious and yes it's understandable that people cry out to the government.

 

But the real question is: is this serious enough to warrant putting most of our population into house imprisonment, wrecking our economy for an indefinite period, destroying businesses that honest and hardworking people have taken years to build up, saddling future generations with debt, depression, stress, heart attacks, suicides and unbelievable distress inflicted on millions of people who are not especially vulnerable and will suffer only mild symptoms or none at all, like the Health Secretary and the Prime Minister.

The executive, the government, is all of a sudden really rather powerful and really rather unscrutinised. Parliament is in recess, it's due to come back in late April, we're not quite sure whether it will or not, the Prime Minister is closeted away, communicating via his phone, there is not a lot in the way of scrutiny is there?

 

Sumption

 

No. Certainly, there's not a lot in the way of institutional scrutiny. The press has engaged in a fair amount of scrutiny, there has been some good and challenging journalism. But mostly the press has, I think, echoed and indeed amplified the general panic.

 

Dymond

 

The restrictions in movement have also changed the relationship between the police and those whose, in name, they serve. The police are naming and shaming citizens for travelling at what they see as the wrong time or driving to the wrong place. Does that set alarm bells ringing for you, as a former senior member of the judiciary?

Thats an interesting point…I have not had a flu shot in a couple of years, my mother has never received the flu shot and she is 78 and staying at home. I have been her gopher for food and stuff so she can just shelter at home….she feels fine I feel fine and no one close to me at the moment has this virus. The granddaughter of former Sen. Robert F. Kennedy and her son are presumed dead after a search of Chesapeake Bay failed to find them.

 

A Coast Guard search for Maeve Kennedy Townsend McKean, 40, and Gideon McKean, 8, that began on Thursday “has turned from rescue to recovery,” according to a Friday statement, Fox News reported.

 

McKean and her son were last seen in a canoe struggling to return to shore.

The family had been gathering Thursday at a home owned by Maeve McKean’s mother, Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, who’s the daughter of Robert Kenndy and a former lieutenant governor of Maryland.

 

Maeve’s husband, David McKean, offered an explanation for the tragedy on his Facebook page.

The Coast Guard said the wind in Herring Bay, an offshoot of the larger bay, was at 26 knots, or roughly 30 mph, when Maeve McKean and her son entered the water.

 

Waves were between two and three feet high at the time.

 

The Coast Guard began its search Thursday and by Friday afternoon had covered 2,275 square miles, according to The Washington Post.

The CDC Influenza webpage provides weekly mortality stats for pnemonia and flu. Flu season begins at week 40 (late September. Copied the mortality data from Week 40 to Week 16 for '17-'18, '18-'19, '19-'2o.

 

This flu season was bigger than previous and peeked during February. However, mortality have significantly dropped compared to the two prior years.

Grocery store (aldi) run report: Lighter than normal crowd, 25% wearing masks. No workers w masks. Mood was subdued and hurried. People giving each other a super-wide berth. They’ve installed plastic around the cash registerers.

That being said, the one pic last night showed a 3377 on the screen as well, if that pic was real and it did show that number then it is in fact a Q post showing on the screen.
