Birx Is No Longer Licensed To Practice Medicine In Pennsylvania

Dr. Deborah Birx, a member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, has an expired medical license.

Birx, who was appointed by former President Barack Obama to serve as United States Global AIDS Coordinator in 2014, graduated from the Pennsylvania State University medical school in 1980. She was issued a medical license in Pennsylvania in 1987. That license expired on December 31, 2014, and it has not been renewed since then, according to the Pennsylvania Licensing System Verification Service, courtesy of the Pennsylvania Department of State.

Birx, who is listed as residing in Potomac, Maryland, does not appear in Maryland practitioner records.

Birx is garnering criticism for touting a disputed model for the Coronavirus outbreak prepared by the University of Washington’s IHME, a project of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Birx serves on the board of the Global Fund, which has received more than $2 billion in funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

YIKES: Venezuelan Patrol Boat Sinks After Ramming German Cruise Ship

Not the most illustrious incident for Venezuela.

A Venezuelan naval patrol boat ended up sinking after an altercation earlier this week with none other than a German cruise ship.

A statement from Columbia Cruise Services of Hamburg, Germany, explained the oddball confrontation between the luxury cruise ship RCGS Resolute and the Venezuelan naval patrol boat Naiguata.

The Venezuelan boat had radioed the cruise ship, that wasn’t carrying passengers, and demanded to know of the ship’s intentions as it passed by the Venezuelan territory of La Tortuga island. The Resolute’s crew had been carrying on engine maintenance in the area, maintaining they were operating in international waters.

China joins UN Human Rights Council panel despite troubling record, response to coronavirus

China has been appointed to a panel on the controversial U.N. Human Rights Council, where it will help vet candidates for important posts – despite its decades-long record of systematic human rights abuse that the U.S. has said fueled the coronavirus pandemic.

Jiang Duan, minister at the Chinese Mission in Geneva, was appointed to the U.N. Human Rights Council’s Consultative Group – where he will serve as the representative of the Asia-Pacific states. He will serve as one of five representatives for blocs of countries and is joined by delegates from Spain, Slovenia and Chad.
