Maybe. Have there been any pictures of Central Park lately to show thousands of people still walking by? With all the stay home order bs, I have to wonder just how many people are actually walking around NYC at the moment. Could also be that people are being diverted away from the park perimeter as a means to "clear the way for medical personnel" or some such bs.
I don't know though. I'm speculating as much as you are. If any NYC anon can give a qrd on what's going on up there, or post some pics of how Central Park looks like currently, that could help us.
