The CDC has started administering antibody tests to gauge true scale of coronavirus spread

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention confirmed Saturday it has begun conducting antibody tests to determine the true number of people infected with the novel COVID-19 coronavirus, including those who never developed symptoms.

Unlike normal diagnostic tests, the antibody test can detect if a person has recovered from an earlier infection. If so, there's a chance they've built up some protection, which could help inform future responses to the virus and perhaps even allow some people to re-enter the workforce. However, it's not yet confirmed if antibodies ensure immunity, and there are still questions about the accuracy of such tests, especially those administered at home.

The CDC is planning three different studies related to the tests. One, which is already underway, will look at blood samples from people who were never diagnosed with COVID-19 but live in hot spots. The agency will also conduct a national survey using samples from different parts of the country. The hope is the survey will launch in the summer. Coronavirus Can be Stopped in 48 Hours Using a Simple Anti-Parasitic Drug: Monash University

Ford Sees Talks With U.S. on Cash for Clunkers-Like Stimulus

The coronavirus pandemic has left no part of the global economy untouched. People are staying indoors, businesses are shuttering left and right, unemployment is skyrocketing and virtually nobody is buying cars. Now, as we edge toward a downturn as bad or worse than the 2008 financial crisis, Ford is nudging the U.S. government toward another Cash for Clunkers-style car buying incentive program.

“We think some level of stimulus somewhere on the other side of this would help not only the auto industry and our dealers, which are a huge part of our overall economy, but will help the customers as well,” said Mark LaNeve, Ford’s vice president of U.S. marketing, sales and service, in a phone interview with Bloomberg. “We’re in discussions about what would be the most appropriate.”

After the U.S. auto industry got its $80 billion taxpayer-funded bailout (minus Ford, which survived through private loans), a $3 billion taxpayer-funded initiative called the Car Allowance Rebate System (CARS) was signed into law, aimed at promoting consumers to trade in their old "clunkers" and purchase a brand new vehicle—ideally a cleaner and more fuel-efficient one. Anyone who owned a car built after 1984 with a rating of 18 MPG or less could be given a voucher worth between $2,900 and $4,500 toward their new car. Their old vehicle would then be disabled and taken out of circulation.

The program was nicknamed Cash for Clunkers and on the surface, it was a politician's dream; better cars, more jobs, a boost to the economy, and an overall less harmful environmental impact. Consumers bit the hook and auto sales immediately spiked. In total, 677,842 cars and trucks got traded in under the CARS program, totaling vouchers worth $2.85 billion. Fast forward 11 years and Ford is looking for a repeat.

“Cash for clunkers was very effective at that time,” LaNeve told Bloomberg. “It would be nice to think we could have something equally as effective for 2020 when we get out of this because it was a great program.”

Except, it wasn't really a great program.

While Cash for Clunkers did result in a significant number of new cars parked in the driveway of Americans, the spike was brief. In fact, the program ran out of its initial $1 billion in funding within a month, prompting the U.S. government to provide another $2 billion influx. Its second round of funding was exhausted in just 17 days.

Economists also believe that sales weren't really sustainable, and that instead of generating new transactions, it instead pulled forward later sales "from a far more distant future" by consumers who were already in the market for new vehicles. Statistics indicate that the program benefited wealthier and better educated Americans more than it did lower income people. The idea that the program would create more jobs was correct, though not nearly as much as a reduction of payroll tax or an increase in unemployment aid.

It also wasn’t really that great for American automakers. Despite domestic cars representing at least 71.8 percent of all trade-ins, Detroit accounted for just 32.6 percent of all new car sales and leases under the CARS program. Furthermore, the program took a substantial number of decent used cars off the road, many of which were still operable and roadworthy that could have been bought by lower-income families who live in areas where public transportation infrastructure is lacking. Instead, the vehicles exchanged under the program were destroyed.

It was the dealership's responsibility to disable the vehicle's engine after trade-in. This was typically done with a few quarts of sodium silicate solution (water, silica, and salt) and a minute or so of flat-footed revving until the inevitable seizure of ill-lubricated metal components was achieved. Disabled vehicles were then sent to recycling facilities where they would be crushed or shredded. It’s worth noting that enthusiast vehicles suffered in this, too. Rare rides like the 1987 Buick ASC GNX and 1992 GMC Typhoon were sent to the crusher, though other fan favorites were also disposed off, including a BMW M3, 123 examples of the Subaru SVX, 381 Nissan 300ZXs and even four MK4 Toyota Supras. (One imagines Bring a Trailer would take care of many of those today.)

So in the end, Cash for Clunkers was a limited, mixed success at best. It was certainly a clever idea and a well-intentioned one, but if it happened again, some fine-tuning would absolutely need to be in order.

Plane and boat fags - Please comment about the following, if you can. In the context of a looming media/phone/internet shutdown for three days, indicating the start of the mass cabal arrests, would we see these following things in advance?

It's Time to Track the FDA's Death Toll

The Food and Drug Administration helped turn the coronavirus from a deadly peril into a national catastrophe. Long after foreign nations had been ravaged and many cases had been detected in America, the FDA continued blocking private testing. The FDA continued forcing the nation’s most innovative firms to submit to its command-and-control approach notwithstanding the pandemic. South Korean is in a far better situation dealing with coronavirus, because its government did not preemptively cripple private testing. One of the clearest lessons from the current pandemic is that nothing has changed at one of the nation’s most powerful regulatory agencies. The FDA is repeating the same mistakes and showing the same arrogance that I chronicled decades ago in articles for the Wall Street Journal, the American Spectator, and other publications.

Dr. David Kessler, who became FDA commissioner in 1990, quickly sought to intimidate the companies that his agency regulates. A laudatory Washington Post article concluded, "What he cannot accomplish with ordinary regulation, Kessler hopes to accomplish with fear." Kenneth Feather of the FDA's drug advertising surveillance branch boasted: "We want to say to these companies that you don't know when or how we'll strike. We want to eliminate predictability." Dr. Kessler's heavy-handed tactics battered the American medical device industry—one of the nation's export superstars. An American Electronics Association survey found that "40% [of medical device companies] reduced the number of U.S. employees because of FDA delays, 29% increased their investment in foreign operations, and 22% moved U.S. jobs overseas." The survey also found that "57% of the firms said the FDA had applied guidance instructions retroactively to some of their submissions," as Biomedical Market Newsletter reported.

The FDA's stonewalling of new medical devices was sometimes politically motivated. A 1994 report by the Medical Device Manufacturers Association noted, "It is not unusual for [FDA] reviewers to express the position that excessive requests [for additional information] are made because of a concern or fear about how a particular member or members of Congress will react" to the approval of a new device. Sacrificing lives was a small price to pay for bureaucrats to avoid bothersome interrogatories from Capitol Hill. FDA employees also sowed fear with a deluge of official Warning Letters (up more than 300 percent since Dr. Kessler took office) to private companies. Once the FDA issues a Warning Letter, it can seize a company's products or get a court injunction to paralyze its operations. Dr. Kessler did not spare the First Amendment in his grab for power, and cancer patients and other seriously ill people suffered as a result. Doctors, hospitals, and researchers often discover after FDA approval that a drug to treat one disease is also effective at treating other diseases. Drug companies have routinely publicized this news, alerting physicians to other possible ways to save lives. American Medical Association vice president Roy Schwarz estimated that "off-label" uses of drugs account for up to 60 percent of all drugs prescribed. But in 1991 Dr. Kessler prohibited pharmaceutical companies from informing doctors of new uses for approved drugs. He announced that the FDA would enforce the ban with seizures, injunctions, and prosecutions. Though the agency never finalized its proposed regulations, it warned companies that they would face its wrath if they violated the draft proposals. Dr. Kessler, in a speech before the Drug Information Association, said: "I would urge all members of the pharmaceutical industry to take a long and hard look at their promotional practices. I do not expect companies to wait until this guidance becomes final to put their advertising and promotional houses in order." The question of off-label treatments is becoming a key issue again as doctors search for effective treatments for the COVID-19 coronavirus.

The FDA even suppressed medical textbooks as part of its attempt to restrict what Americans learned about new treatments. In 1992, the FDA cracked down on a company for distributing, for free, portions of Cancer, Principles and Practice of Oncology. In 1993, the FDA stopped a pharmaceutical company from distributing free copies of The Chemotherapy Source Book—even though the company had already received FDA approval to give away thousands of copies. The FDA claimed that when a drug company gives doctors free textbooks that mention an off-label use of its products the drugs become subject to seizure.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is putting the brakes on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's (D-CA) attempt to rush a phase-four coronavirus relief package through Congress - insisting that they take a wait-and-see approach after a $2.2 trillion rescue package was signed into law last month by President Trump.

Pelosi, who has been holding near-daily calls with reporters, has been aggressively pushing for the follow-up legislaton which would make funds available for transportation, coronavirus treatment (not just testing), more money for states, and benefits for employees such as paid family and sick leave, according to The Hill.

"The coronavirus is moving swiftly, and our communities cannot afford for us to wait. House Democrats will continue to work relentlessly and in a bipartisan way to lift up American families and workers to protect their health, economic security and well-being today and throughout this crisis," Pelosi insisted on Friday.

McConnell is having none of it - and has made abundantly clear that he wants to wait to see if the first package has had any impact.

"We're not going to be doing, in the name of an emergency, items unrelated to the emergency," he told Fox News Radio when asked about the next bill.

Of note, while Congressional leaders have remained in Washington, most lawmakers are out of town until at least April 20.

Congressional Republicans are backing McConnell, however they've been privately discussing a fourth bill as well.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) backed up McConnell, telling reporters that while Pelosi “is trying to talk about a fourth bill, I don't think that is appropriate at this time.”

Some rank-and-file GOP senators say they are already informally discussing a fourth bill as the number of coronavirus cases in the U.S. is expected to skyrocket in the coming weeks. As of Friday evening, there were about 274,000 cases in the United States and more than 7,000 deaths, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. -The Hill

Barbs between Pelosi and McConnell have spilled into the public sphere - with McConnell telling Pelosi to "stand down" in one interview - suggesting she's trying to "jam" Senate Republicans.

All the reported stats surrounding the Chinese Virus are bullshit. In order to know if we are actually flattening the curve, you have to common-size the numbers. The only way to do that is make them a ratio (percentage). As we all know, the more we test, the more cases that will be confirmed. But it’s the percentage of positive cases that matter.

If 3 weeks ago, we were only doing a 1000 tests per day and 200 came back positive, then we would have a 20% infection rate. If today we are doing 200,000 tests per day and 40,000 come back positive, then it’s still a 20% infection rate. To flatten the curve (if this Wuhan Flu is even fucking real), we need to look at the infection rate reported as a percentage.

Until they do that, I don’t believe a damn thing DS Fauci and DS Birx or any other incompetent health official says.

I've watched certain YouTubers and Twitterfags blow their collective wad all over the net that not only are they rescuing the children, but that they're all somehow magically saved and filling up these empty hospitals and/or the medical wards they've been setting up in stadiums. And there is NO SAUCE to ANY of it.

All we've had to this point are pictures of some nurse or medical practitioner walking by with a pack of diapers into a hospital wing, or a picture of some poor soul on one of the medical ships (Who's probably genuinely disfigured and didn't want their face shown).

The only other thing we have are 2nd, 3rd, and even 4th hand accounts of people claiming to know someone who knows someone that works in medicine and swears up and down they're rescuing the kids.

These are not proofs, these are not evidence, and when people go out there and proselytize on everyone's behalf that the children are being saved and ready to pop their champagne, sitting back, crying on camera about how wonderful it is that the children have now been saved, it's sickening to watch.

Council of Europe: Migrants must be released from detention

Dunja Mijatovic, the Council of Europe’s Commissioner for Human Rights, is demanding that the national governments of the European Union release migrants from detention and back into the general population as a coronavirus (COVID-19) prevention measure.

There's always a location update message that the phones exchange with the base station so that the system "knows" which cell the phone is currently located within so that if a call needs to be directed to the phone (Mobile Station MS), the system knows that the cell near the phone needs to handle the connection. I believe the guy. I looked up and compared divers, low altitude, the bends, and astronauts, and they are similar but the interesting thing is divers AMS is slower than high altitude. I think divers in water would be the same affect as without water, going from subteranian altitude to a higher elevation, like as in from a DUMB to the surface. Its just that these instances have never been seen before. If we have then trapped below and they make a quick escape to the surface they would get the ‘virus’. It would stump the medical community. If we cut off their oxygen or power that supplies them oxygen it would drive them to the surface quickly, we wouldnt need to know the tunnels or exits, they would all get sick and die. This may be why they arent identifying the victims, they dont exist on the surface.

Anons I was sitting here and for some reason the thought of artists being paid by the cabal popped into my head. The next thought I had was remembering that Facebook famously made an artist incredibly rich by, instead of having the artist take an $600,000 commission for his artwork, he instead took stock. 15 Types of Evidence

1. Analogical Evidence

While not a kind of evidence you’d use in court, this kind of evidence can be useful for increasing credibility by drawing parallels when there isn’t enough information to prove something in an investigation. Analogical evidence uses a comparison of things that are similar to draw an analogy.

2. Anecdotal Evidence

Anecdotal evidence isn’t used in court, but can sometimes help in an investigation to get a better picture of an issue. The biggest problem with this kind of evidence is that it is often “cherry picked” to present only anecdotes that support a particular conclusion. Consider it with skepticism, and in combination with other, more reliable, kinds of evidence.

3. Character Evidence

This is a testimony or document that is used to help prove that someone acted in a particular way based on the person’s character. While this can’t be used to prove that a person’s behavior at a certain time was consistent with his or her character, it can be used in some investigations to prove intent, motive, or opportunity.

4. Circumstantial Evidence

Also known as indirect evidence, this type of evidence is used to infer something based on a series of facts separate from the fact the argument is trying to prove. It requires a deduction of facts from other facts that can be proven and, is not considered to be strong evidence.

5. Demonstrative Evidence

An object or document is considered to be demonstrative evidence when it directly demonstrates a fact. It’s a common and reliable kind of evidence. Examples of this kind of evidence are photographs, video and audio recordings, charts, etc.

6. Digital Evidence

Digital evidence can be any sort of digital file from an electronic source. This includes email, text messages, instant messages, files and documents extracted from hard drives, electronic financial transactions, audio files, video files. Digital evidence can be found on any server or device that stores data, including some lesser-known sources such as home video game consoles, GPS sport watches and internet-enabled devices used in home automation. Digital evidence is often found through internet

searches using open source intelligence (OSINT).

7. Direct Evidence

The most powerful type of evidence, direct evidence requires no inference. The evidence alone is the proof.

8. Documentary Evidence

Most commonly considered to be written forms of proof, such as letters or wills, documentary evidence can also include other types of media, such as images, video or audio recordings, etc.

9. Exculpatory Evidence

This type of evidence can exonerate a defendant in a – usually criminal – case. Prosecutors and police are required to disclose to the defendant any exculpatory evidence they find or risk having the case dismissed.

10. Forensic Evidence

Forensic Evidence is scientific evidence, such as DNA, trace evidence, fingerprints or ballistics reports, and can provide proof to establish a person’s guilt or innocence. Forensic evidence is generally considered to be strong and reliable evidence and alongside helping to convict criminals, its role in exonerating the innocent has been well documented. The term “forensic” means “for the courts”.

11. Hearsay Evidence

Hearsay evidence consists of statements made by witnesses who are not present. Hearsay evidence is not admissible in court.

12. Physical Evidence

As would be expected, evidence that is in the form of a tangible object, such as a firearm, fingerprints, rope purportedly used to strangle someone, or tire casts from a crime scene, is considered to be physical evidence. Physical evidence is also known as “real” or “material” evidence. It can be presented in court as an exhibit of a physical object, captured in still or moving images, described in text, audio or video or referred to in documents.

13. Prima Facie Evidence

Meaning “on its first appearance” this is evidence presented before a trial that is enough to prove something until it is successfully disproved or rebutted at trial. This is also called “presumptive evidence”.

14. Statistical Evidence

Evidence that uses numbers (or statistics) to support a position is called statistical evidence. This type of evidence is based on research or polls.

15. Testimonial Evidence

One of the most common forms of evidence, this is either spoken or written evidence given by a witness under oath. It can be gathered in court, at a deposition or through an affidavit.
