The formation names used here extend to the subsurface where several gas wells in the center of the valley produce from the same rocks, and from younger rocks that overlie them. Although the younger rocks are not exposed in the canyons to the west, most geologists combine the formation names from the west side outcrops with the subsurface names from the gas fields to create a coherent set of names that is largely agreed upon for most of the Sacramento Valley.[11]

The same is not true for the San Joaquin Valley to the south, where another area of well-known outcrops is found in the hills to the west of Coalinga. This area uses a completely different set of formation names for exactly the same group of rocks as are found to the north. Tom Dempsey dies after COVID-19 battle

Only four days ago came word that Tom Dempsey had recovered from COVID-19. The good news was short lived.

The former NFL kicker died late Saturday of complications from the coronavirus, the Times-Picayne reports. Dempsey was 73.

Dempsey had battled Alzheimer’s disease and dementia since 2012. He was one of several residents of a senior living facility in New Orleans to contract COVID-19, testing positive March 25.

At least 15 residents at the Lambeth House retirement home in Uptown New Orleans have died from the coronavirus, according to the Times-Picayune.

Dempsey becomes at least the second former NFL player to die after contracting COVID-19. Orlando McDaniel, who played three games for the Broncos in 1982, died last week. McDaniel was 59.

Dempsey, who was born without toes on his right foot and fingers on his right hand, signed with the Saints as an undrafted free agent in 1969. He is best remembered for his record-setting 63-yard field goal in 1969.

The small flat shoe he kicked with is on display at the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Although Dempsey played for the Eagles, Rams, Oilers and Bills after leaving the Saints, he retired to New Orleans.

Another perspective on COVID 19. What if assumptions are wrong. I dont mean there is no virus. There is a virus. It was made as a bioweapon that I believe. But what ispf we do not understand the mechanism. Our entire treatment protocol would be wrong and making patients worse by ventilating them.

Consider that treatments that work like hydroxychloroquine and or even EGCG are ionophores. The theory has been these facilitate zinc uptake into the cells. But now consider an alternate that the ionophores help because they facilitate the removal of porphyrins out of lung cells. In this case patients need the ionophores early and very few are going to need ventilation at high positive pressure as their respiratory muscles are not fatigued the red cells just cant function as intended.
