You're on a fruitful track.

Continue.

Maxwell's equations as he originally expressed them in quaternion algebra may be OK. The problems occured when subsequent physicists/mathematicians revised the equations to express them in modern algebra. They saw terms that appeared to cancel each other out so they deemed these to have "no physical significance" and removed them. Woops! That is one area where significant error lies. The opposing field terms cancel out in 3-space, but combine in 4-space (ether domain) to produce energetics that are not measurable by instruments designed to work with 3-space … until they recombine in 3-space and then you seem to have forces and energies that "come from nowhere". But they come from somewhere.

IIRC.

Carry on.
