I think Republicans may see a reverse 1992 this year. But who the hell knows. No one would siphon off many true Repubs from voting Trump, but the right candidate would completely split Dems between Biden and someone some Dems would love and some would find utterly impossible to vote for—perhaps like a Michigan governor or Big Mike or Stacy Abrams. I think a crazy black woman would provide the needed [divisive] contrast to guarantee a Trump win. Speculation fun, but probably pointless.
